At the Muritala International Airport today, the Nigerian Customs Service impounded a whopping 8 million dollars. The Customs Comptroller-General; Hameed Ali, made the revelation. It was reported that the cash stashed in brown envelopes with ‘name tags’ on them.
Although much is not known about the case at hand, it holds that the driver of the suspected vehicle was arrested for alleged money laundering. Apparently, further investigation is being carried out to unravel the mystery behind the situation.
