Cardi B was also scheduled to perform in Ghana during the weekend of her visit to Africa. Sequel to her stay in Accra, a controversy erupted between Ghanian celebrities and the Grammy award nominee. According to reports, Cardi B was scheduled for a meet ‘n’ greet witth Ghanian celebrities and a couple of media personalities. As it turned out, the latter ended up waiting about five hours in the Kempinsky Hotel, Acrra without any sign of Cardi B. This happened on Sunday, 8 December 2019.
In response to criticisms and backlashes that have surfaced on social media, Cardi B took to her Instagram page to clarify the misconceptions associated with the supposed meet ‘n’ greet. According to her, she was unaware of the scheduled meeting as her booking agent did not relay the details to her. Moreover, she mentioned having a stomach upset which really messed with her. By and by, she apologised to her fans, stating it was not intentional to disrespect them. According to her, she would do that which she has been paid to do. Integrity, huh?
