Sisodia criticises Kumar Vishwas for raising AAP issues publically

New Delhi: Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia lambasted Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Kumar Vishwas for publically claiming that there were people in the party who are conspiring against him.

Talking to the media persons, Sisodia said that airing his grievances in front of camera persons has come as a huge let down for the party workers.

Telling about the party’s efforts to pacify Vishwas, Sisodia claimed that AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal has already talked to him and his act of publically divulging the internal party tussle has affected party’s foot soldiers extensively.

Urging Kumar Vishwas to register his complaints using internal party forums, Sisodia asked Vishwas to attend the party’s Political Affairs Committee (PAC) meet at Kejriwal’s residence.

Earlier in the day on Tuesday, Vishwas rubbished the rumours of joining any other political outfit and asserted that he will never aspire to become chief minister of deputy CM.

“I have said this 10 times, told Manish Sisodia, told Arvind Kejriwal, I never wanted to get any post or join any party. I will always remain a volunteer,” said Vishwas.

Claiming that there are a few people in the party who are conspiring against him, Vishwas said, “I will not ask apology from anyone.”

The internal rift within the party came to the fore just a day after AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan stepped down from the party’s Political Affairs Committee (PAC). Khan had earlier alleged that Vishwas was an “agent of the Bharatiya Janata Party” and was working to break AAP.

“I will not overturn my previous statement. Vishwas had invited Ajit Doval and RSS workers for his birthday party. How is it that he did not think of AAP MLAs and volunteers then… at a time when the police, directed by the BJP, was arresting us and had launched a witch-hunt. Now he is talking about the greater good of the party. I still say he is an agent of the BJP and is trying to break the party,” Khan had said.

“If being a member of the PAC means not being able to speak freely, and Vishwas and some MLAs feel I should step down, then I have no problem in doing so. I have tendered my resignation from the PAC. It is not that Arvind ji is unhappy with me, but I have decided to stand up for what is right,” he further said.

Earlier on Monday, Vishwas refused to attend PAC meeting held at Kejriwal’s residence and demanded Khan’s expulsion. Heated arguments were exchanged at the meet as AAP’s top leadership seemed divided over the issue.

A section of the party had supported Khan criticising Kumar Vishwas for making unnecessary comments to the media on “Kejriwal being surrounded by yes men”.
