Well, we really didn’t mean choosing smart casual. When you go through the final security check you are required to remove socks and shoes, belts etc. If you have shirts or pants which have brass buttons, belts, zippers then you will have to remove all. Why not wear clothes which have nothing brass. Slip-on-shoes are much easier than shoes with shoelace.

Better not wear jewellery, watches but, if you prefer store these in a jacket pocket. When you go through the body scanner just remove the jacket and let it pass through the other scanner. While waiting to board the aircraft, you have time to wear these.   It saves a lot of time and makes it easier for everyone standing in line to get checked.
