The Best Business Travel Cards for Cash Back on Advertising Costs

Business travel cards were introduced to serve the basic needs of at best. While some Business owners are still found hesitant on the idea of acquiring one of these ingenious Cash back cards, others are simply reaping the benefits of cards that cater to specific demands and needs of running a business.

These cards have made business travel cheaper for the most part in addition to providing cash back categories that can actually help entrepreneurs steer their businesses better. One of these categories that come in most handy for cash back purposes is the advertising expenditure.

I am listing down my three favorite cash back credit cards that give you cash back for part of your advertising costs:

Chase Ink Business Preferred Credit Card

The Ink Business Preferred Credit Card by Chase is the hot product these days. The card offers a sign-up of whopping 80,000 points once you spend $5,000 within the first three months of your membership. The card earns 3 points for each $1 spent on shipping, travel, internet, phone and cable services. There are also 3 points awarded per $1 spent on purchases related to advertising through search engines and social media platforms.

Select search engine and social media merchants in the category include Twitter, Facebook, Google AdWords, and more. The good thing is that unless you reach a combined amount of $150,000 in purchases, this 3x category will not cap out. On all other purchases each dollar spent earns you 1 point.

The APR is charged at varying rates between 16.24% and 21.24% depending on your creditworthiness. No foreign transaction fee is charged and employee cards can be acquired for no additional costs. The annual fee for the card amounts to $95.

SimplyCash Plus Business Credit Card

The SimplyCash Plus Business Credit Card by American Express is more of a blessing for businesses. You can earn up to $500 cash back on new membership till January 25, 2017. Spending $5,000 during the first six months following your membership can earn you $250 statement credit. An additional statement credit of $250 can be earned once you make additional purchases worth $10,000 or more within the first year.

For every dollar spent at the U.S. wireless telephone services and he U.S office supply stores you get 5% cash back. 3% cash back can be received from spending on one category of your choice out of the possible eight choices. These categories include airfare, computing, shipping, advertising and more. The 3% and 5% categories are applied on the first $50,000 spent every year. On everything else you get 1%.

The card comes with a 0% introductory APR on all purchases made in the first nine months. Following that, the APR rate varies from 12.49%, 17.49% to 19.49% depending on your creditworthiness. The annual fee is zero, however foreign transactions are charged at 2.7%.

3. Capital One® Spark® Cash Select for Business

The Capital One Spark Cash Select for Business is quite similar to the Capital One Spark Miles Select. They share the same rates and fee structure with zero annual fees, no balance transfer fee, and no foreign transaction fee. The only difference between these cards is the cash-based and miles-based rewards program.

Signup for the Capital One Spark Cash Select for Business. If you spend over $3,000 in the 3 months following your account’s opening you earn flat $200 cash bonus. From the very first day of your membership, every purchase you make gets 1.5% cash back. That includes advertising! There are no restrictions or caps on the amounts. The cash can be acquired through mailed checks or you have the option to redeem it in exchange for general statement credits.

Probably the best thing about modern day entrepreneurship is that one does not require thousands of dollars to establish a startup. You don’t need several employees working for you or even a dedicated office space for it. If you’re one of these modern, lean entrepreneurs, you’re probably eligible for these business credit cards. These business travel cards make for a trusted spending ally when you’re out and away from your pen.

For many startup businesses, a major chunk of their revenues is eaten up by advertising costs. It becomes far easier to spend money on advertising when you have a business credit card that picks up a portion of that money and gives you cash back.
