The 22nd edition of the annual World Travel Awards prizes, some of the most prestigious awards in the tourism industry, held recently in Sardinia, Italy. The winners were selected by thousands of passengers and hundreds of professionals working in the tourism industry.

This year St. Petersburg, Russia, was chosen best tourist destination in Europe, but awards were given to many more categories, centered on European tourism. At the ceremony held in Sardinia took part over 250 tourism industry professionals worldwide, who presented the awards divided into areas of the world.
Best of Europe was Ciragan Palace Kempinski chosen this year in Istanbul (pictured below), Turkey, while Marmaris in Turkey Angel’s took the title of Best Resort for Families in Europe. Best boutique hotel in Europe in 2015 Vila Joya in Portugal.

The best beach destination in Europe this year belongs Algarve area of Portugal, while holding the European title Sardinia islands category. Best beach in Europe is Elounda Beach Hotel & Villas in Greece (pictured below), while the Hotel Quinta do Lago Beach Resort in Portugal was named best resort beach on the old continent.
