The Ninth

The Ninth, Jun Tanaka’s Michelin-starred restaurant in Fitzrovia, has a number of at-home options.

The Ninth At Home

The Ninth At Home features some of the restaurant’s most popular dishes, including flamed mackerel with capers, kohlrabi and sea purslane; and chargrilled veal chop with smoked aubergine caviar, olives and datterini tomatoes.

The Menu also features a truffle pasta kit, which includes freshly made Conchiglie pasta, 10g of Australian winter truffle, truffle veloute, egg yolk and parmesan.

The Ninth Barbecue Box

The Ninth is also offering a gourmet selection of prime cuts (marinated for 48 hours) and summer vegetables.

The barbecue box, which is priced at £100 including delivery, contains:

  • 4 Lamb cutlets marinated in Kalamata olives & honey
  • 2 Veal chops marinated in Greek yoghurt, rosemary & thyme
  • 2 Poussin marinated in preserved lemon & oregano
  • Roasted red peppers
  • Marinated courgettes
  • Hispi cabbage

Honest Burgers – Honest At Home

Honest Burgers has launched its ‘Honest at Home’ kits, whch has everything you need to make a signature Honest Burger at home.

The kit includes:

  • 4x chopped British chuck steak and rib cap patties from the Honest Butchery
  • 4x British Cheddar slices
  • 4x dry cured smoked bacon rashers
  • 4x Burger buns from Honest’s friends at The Bread Factory (gluten free also available) – Honest Kitchen red onion relish
  • Honest Kitchen pickles
  • An Honest tote bag

You just need to supply your own lettuce.

The £30 kits are available from the Honest website, and delivered nationally by DPD (delivery cost included).

Arabica

Middle Eastern food specialist Arabica is offering Meze and falafel kits delivered to your door within a seven miles radius of Arabica’s central kitchen in Camberwell, SE5.

Order from a menu of falafel meal kits, Middle Eastern dips and salads, vegan and vegetarian mezze platters and a meaty family feast box alongside a tasty collection of some of Arabica’s house signatures.

Officina 00

Italian restaurant Officina 00, located on Old Street in Shoreditch, is offering an “Al Parco” picnic and delivery menu.

The picnic menu features a selection of freshly prepared Italian essentials – breads, cheeses, cured meats and pasta dishes.

The Al Parco picnic box for two is priced at £45. Dishes include home-made sourdough rosemary focaccia; fried Cacio e Pepe raviolio; Burrata with white asparagus, walnuts and pink peppercorns and a trio of aubergine & Nduja croquettes.

Gymkhana

Michelin-starred Indian restaurant Gymkhana had only just re-opened following a fire before lockdown rules came in – but you can now enjoy some of its main dishes from home.

Tandoori masala lamb chops, butter chicken masala, and wild muntjac biriyani all feature on the new delivery menu.

Corbin & King At Home

Corbin & King are offering a greatest hits menu to eat at home, delivering a signature dish or two from their restaurants.

Try schnitzel from The Wolseley, Steak Haché et Frites from Brasserie Zedel or The Delaunay‘s Mushroom Stroganoff.

BENTŌ by SOLA

Californian Soho restaurant SOLA is now available at home with the launch of BENTŌ by SOLA.

BENTŌ by SOLA will be available from Tuesday to Saturday via on-demand ordering platform Slerp.

As in the restaurant, diners will be offered the choice of a five-course Prix Fixe (£69 per person) or ten-course Tasting Menu (£109 per person).

Each menu starts with canapés such as Smoked quail egg ‘Mimosa’; Dungeness Crab; and Compressed Watermelon.

The Prix Fixe Menu then includes two savoury dishes, and the Tasting Menu six, before dessert (one or two respectively) and finally handmade mignardises.

Dishpatch

Delivery platform Dishpatch (dishpatch.co.uk) has teamed up with some of the UK’s most exciting restaurants and chefs to make their food available nationwide, with the launch of bespoke feasting menus for home delivery.

Dishpatch was founded in March 2020 by friends Pete Butler and James Terry as a way for restaurant suppliers affected by CoVid-19 to sell their produce to the public.

The participating chefs and restaurants will change every month with menus ranging in price from £40 to £59 for two people.

Ampeli

Ampéli in Fitzrovia offers the cuisines of Greece and the Eastern Mediterranean with a series of seasonal picnic boxes for collection or home delivery.

Each picnic box includes house baked breads, sharing plates and side dishes.

Menu items include a cod’s roe dip with pickled jalapenos; whipped feta dip with pistachio; salt cod croquettes; Prawn Saganaki with broccoli & feta; and a whole pan-fried sea bream with capers and lemon oil vinaigrette.
