Things to do in Philly During January

2020 is off to an amazing start, with tons of exciting events happening all over the city and surrounding area! With the help of Visit Philly, we put together a list of the top events we think you should check out! 

Winter at Dilworth Park - until February 23rd: If you missed ice skating in front of City Hall before the holidays, don't worry! The rink, along with the whimsical wintergarden and cozy Rothman Orthopaedic cabin will be open well into February! 

Philly Home Show - January 10th to 19th: Looking for some home decor inspiration? Stop by the Philadelphia Convention Center and check out the two weekend event where experts in interior design, landscaping, furnishing, architecture and more come and offer tips, tricks and other advice to event attendees.
Center City District Restaurant Week - January 12th to 24th: This bi-annual, two week event is back, with a variety of restaurants and eateries offering delicious dishes and mouth watering courses, all for the prix fixe price of either $20 per person for lunch, or $35 for dinner! 
Orchid Extravaganza at Longwood Gardens - January 18th to March 22nd: if you're willing to head a little outside of the city, stop by Longwood Gardens and take in the impressive display of the world's rarest and most beautiful flowers. 
Lunar New Year Events in Philadelphia - Saturday, January 25th: Philly knows how to celebrate the lunar new year! The festivities start off with a midnight lion dance in Chinatown and continue throughout the city to commemorate the start of the Year of the Rat. Parades, craft activities, cooking demonstrations and more await!
