The Best Travel Apps for Travel Junkies

If you’re a Travel junkie, you’ve come to the right place. Here you can discover some of the best apps that no traveller should leave the house without. If you do, you could find yourself embarking upon an adventure that’s far from fun. Take a look to discover our pick of Travel Apps that are certain to make your expedition go as smoothly as possible.

1. Packing Pro

You’ll thank us for this one; Packing Pro is a lifesaver. Why? Well, think of the many times you’ve left packing until last minute, the entire contents of your wardrobe strewn across the bed in an attempt to try and cram it all in your suitcase. Luckily for you, this doesn’t have to happen anymore.

Simply install this trusty app and it’ll suggest a list of things you might need for your trip based on where you’re going, how long for and other important details. And it doesn’t just suggest clothes. Packing Pro accounts for everything from essentials such as your passport and money, to toiletries.

Be sure to purchase this app and make the packing process a breeze.

2. Tipulator

Have you ever felt awkward about tipping abroad? It’s no surprise if you have. The Brits tend to tip only if they’ve received a particularly good service, whereas the Americans are quite generous tippers. So, how much should you tip? Well, Tipulator can work that out for you.

Whilst the tip calculator app doesn’t tell you the standard tip rate, it does make splitting bills and working out percentages that bit easier for you. All you have to do is enter the total of your bill, select the percent you’d like to leave for a tip and hit the calculate button!

The beauty of this app is that it’s free so you have more money to tip… or spend at a restaurant. We’ll leave you to decide on that.

3. Google Translate

Without this app you may find yourself accidentally going into the wrong toilet or walking somewhere you shouldn’t because you didn’t understand the ‘No Trespassing’ sign. Google Translate is able to translate 27 languages to and from English, so you’ll never have to face a language barrier again.

And we haven’t even got to the best bit yet. The app has a World Lens tool, which enables you to point your device’s camera to a foreign word and instantly translate it into your chosen language! How cool is that? Jiddan. Go on; try the free app out for yourself.

4. Onavo Extend

If you can’t put your phone down, even when you’re on holiday, this app is most definitely for you. At some point, you will no doubt have downloaded a large email whilst lying on a sunbed and will have incurred extravagant data roaming charges. Sigh. However, with Onavo Extend, you can completely avoid this from happening.

This app significantly reduces the amount of data required to carry out daily tasks such as retrieving emails and using social media. How does it do this? We’re not entirely sure, but we’re not about to complain either! Onavo Extend is the way forward for you phone fanatics.

As you know, when it comes to travelling, the world is your oyster. If you haven’t managed to visit the beautiful city of Dubai then what are you waiting for?! We have a range of gorgeous villas to rent in Dubai, so you’ll be guaranteed an enjoyable stay.
