Primavera Sound Barcelona

During the first days of June, Barcelona will be the host for Primavera Sound. For fifteen years now Primavera Sound has been offering successful music events and its festival Primavera Sound has been taken place in Barcelona since 2001.

Primavera Sound is considered internationally as a must-visit music event. Pixies, Arcade Fire, Queens of the Stone Age, Nine Inch Nails, Kendrick Lamar, Neil Young, Sonic Youth, Portishead, Pet Shop Boys, Pavement, Echo & The Bunnymen, Lou Reed, My Bloody Valentine, El-P, Pulp, Patti Smith, James Blake, Tha National, Cat Power, Public Enemy, Grinderman, Franz Ferdinand, The White Stripes, LCD Soundsystem, The Cure, Bon Iver, La Buena Vida, Death Cab For Cutie, Iggy & The Stooges, De La Soul, Marianne Faithfull, Mazzy Star, Blur, Wu-Tang Clan, Phoenix, The Jesus and Mary Chain and Tame Impala, are just a few of the many artists who have played on the stages of the festival to this day.

Primavera Sound Festival is located in Parc del Forum. The festival location is easy accessible with public transport. Sónar Barcelona

Mark these dates in your music agenda! Sónar, one of the most well-known electronic and advanced music festivals in the world will take over Barcelona for three days in June! The first Sónar took place in 1994 and since then its fame and recognition has grown rapidly, which gave the organizers the opportunity to run similar Sónar festivals in different cities all around the world. The edition in Barcelona is the first and best-known and takes place during the middle of June. The crowd of Sónar consists out of visitors from all over the world. For this event, there are day and night tickets available. It is also possible to purchase a ticket for all the three days and    nights.

Nit de Sant Joan – Saint John Festival

Saint John´s Festival is Barcelona´s most festive, loudest and craziest fireworks night. The festival has many names: Nit de Sant Joan, La revetlla de Sant Joan in Catalan or Verbanas de Sant Joan in Spanish. All names refer to the same festival of Saint John the Bapist to celebrate the Spanish midsummers eve during the evening and night of 23^rd of June every year. The day after ´Nit de Sant Joan´ is ´El día de Sant Joan´ – also known as Saint John´s day which is a public holiday in Barcelona and Spain.

There is no official program for Nit de Sant Joan. All Sant Joan events and fireworks are organized by the families, friends, local districts and civil centers of Barcelona. Everyone is Barcelona celebrates the evening with dinners, parties, fireworks and there are many bonfires in Barcelona, which attracts crowds of more than 100.000 people.

The metro is open all night and the beaches will close at 06:00 AM.

Piknic Electronik
