Augustus 8 / Riegele’s Augustus Weizen Doppelbock by Brauhaus Riegele – #OTTBeerDiary Day 382

This post is a continuation of the 2015 New Beer Every Day Beer Diary Challenge, #ottbeerdiary.  Over the course of 2015, I drank at least one new beer every day. Please read the background in the link above, and enjoy reading about the most recently tasted beers below. This year I may deviate from the diary format in some posts, hoping to concentrate more on the locations and the breweries I am enjoying. If you’d like to join the challenge as well, let me know in the comments below. You can catch up on all of our posts as part of the challenge under the tag ottbeerdiary.

Day 382: January 17, 2016

Diary entry:

A total change-up in my agenda for the day.

Originally, I was intending to join some friends for the Gouda PINT Winterbierfestival for the second year in a row, but when I messaged in the morning to align on the train time, I was informed that they had a bit too much of a party the night before and wouldn’t be going.

Last year’s event was excellent, but extremely crowded, with not enough tables, etc. so I decided that if I was going to be going alone again, better not to go at all and take the day to relax.

So I did!

Had a relaxing morning, and then ran into Eindhoven to see The Hateful Eight, the new Quentin Tarantino movie. Which I must say, started off kinda slow, but finished off in a whirlwind!

I did head straight home after the movie though, mainly because I had to drive down for the movie since I got too late a start from the apartment and had no chance of making the last train that would get me into town in time, and I didn’t want to have a full-day charge for the parking. Yeah, I’m cheap
