Making Your Perfect Georgia Tour Itinerary

When we started posting about our trip to Georgia, the only question that we received most is what would be the perfect Georgia tour itinerary. The question comes in many forms, from the “what I think I’m going to do, what do you think of my plan?” to the “where should I start, can I get right direction?” and everywhere in between.

I prefer to keep the answer is simple. Your first need to figure out what do you actually want from the place? Are you into sightseeing? (Gudauri, Kazbegi, Gori etc), or a history buff (Kazbegi, Gori, Annanuri etc) or someone who wants to explore the country and its culture in depth.

For Sightseeing on holidays, I would suggest 5-7 days are enough. If you are into learning and seeing Georgia’s Historical sites, 10-12 days are enough for you. For an in-depth experience of the Georgian culture, being there for a month might help, but the longer the better it is.

It is very handy if you carry a tourist map with you when you travel. Google maps will help you find your way within this Beautiful Country.

Suggested Itinerary For Georgia Tour

Day 1 – Tbilisi

Day 2 – Gori – Kutaisi – Batumi

Day 3 – Mtskheta – Gudauri – Kazbegi

Day 4 – Telavi – Sighnaghi – Kakheti

Day 5 – Tbilisi

The above itinerary looks hectic but if you plan correctly, you can plan around it. You can extend your stay in Tbilisi, Gudauri, Kazbegi, and Batumi if you have extra time. These places have good hotels to stay as well as will give you time to rest.
