If you’re lucky enough to take a business trip to the Caribbean island of Sint Maarten (hey, it has been known to happen), then you’ll definitely want to get out and take a look around in your free time! Sint Maarten is colorful island, full of culture and interesting adventures.

Although Sint Maarten is part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, most people speak English as their primary language. The island runs on U.S. dollars, so if you’re American, you’ll be in luck. Although Sint Maarten is only half the island of Saint Martin, the border between the two sides is nothing more than an old rock wall. You can travel from the Dutch side to the French side with no visa and no problem. The whole island has one main road at the perimeter, so if you get lost, you can just keep driving and you’ll eventually end up back where you started.
