When you’re compiling a “best of” list of products, it’s always helpful to explain your personal experience with the subject matter. At 6’4” and 250 pounds, I am what you might call a “big guy.” One time, my friends dared me to eat a six patty cheeseburger at Wendy’s, so I ate a seven patty burger and then chased it with a Frosty just to make a point.I only say this to let you know I am well acquainted with one of the many challenges facing big guys (and girls): finding a comfortable gaming chair that isn’t a couch. Based on my research, here’s the list of the best big and tall gaming chairs for those of us who are tired of sitting on an office chair and feeling like you’re sitting on a kindergarten chair.

It’s also has a fairly tall 33.9-inch back and large 23.3- by 22-inch seat.

This gaming chair also happens to be one of the most comfortable ones we’ve sat in thanks to a pair of included microfiber memory foam pillows. You don’t so much as sit in this gaming chair, but rather melt into it. As for ergonomics, you’ll find 4D adjustable armrests and up to 165-degree of recline.

2. Homall High-Back Racing Chair

Best Budget Big and Tall Gaming Chair

As you might expect, there just isn’t much in the way of “budget” chairs when it comes to quality items that fit into the big and tall category since their very nature requires robust construction. But this $90 Homall chair offers the support and features of a $400-plus racing chair for less than a quarter of the price.

It supports up to 300 pounds and it has a fairly long 30.5-inch backrest. The seat is pretty narrow measuring only 14.5-inches and it sits fairly low to the ground, so expect a few sacrifices with at this low of a price point.

3. Respawn 400 – $239, 400 pounds

Best Midrange Big and Tall Gaming Chair

The Respawn 400 is a surprisingly robust gaming chair for its roughly $240 price. It’s sturdy enough to support up to 400 pounds of weight and it has one of the biggest seats measuring 24.25- by 24.25-inches. unfortunately, it’s a little short with only a maximum seat height of 19.5-inches, so it might not be the best choice for users with really long legs.

Overall though, this is an impressively strong and large gaming chair that also offers 4D armrests and 130-degrees of recline. Big and tall users on a budget will want to check out this gaming chair.

4. DXRacer Tank

Best High-Capacity Gaming Chair

DXRacer is one of the most well-respected names in gaming chairs, so it should come as no surprise they also make an excellent racing-style chair for big and tall gamers. As the name suggests, this chair is built like a tank and is capable of supporting up to 450 pounds, the highest weight capacity of any gaming chair we’ve found so far.

Its backrest can accommodate gamers up to 6’7”, making the DXRacer Tank is one of the tallest chairs on this list. In fact, DXRacer only recommends this chair for people at least 6’1” tall. There’s several tilt options, as well as an extra-wide seating base and it comes with not one, but two gas canisters for supporting the frame. Unfortunately, all of those features don’t come cheap as it’ll set you back about $600.

5. Maxnomic Team Liquid 2.0 XL

Best Gaming Chair for Tall Gamers

If you’re tired of never having headrest support because all the gaming chairs are too short, the Maxnomic Team Liquid 2.0 XL might be for you. This gaming chair is designed for users up to seven-feet tall. It can also handle up to 375 pounds in weight, so it’s quite a bit sturdier than most other gaming chairs.

Like the DXRacer, all this robustness comes at a cost and you’ll be paying more than $600 to get this chair—but it’s one to consider you’re a big gamer.

6. Corsair T2 Road Warrior

Best Gaming Chair for Gamers with Long Legs

Not everyone is tall in the same way and if your legs are particularly long, the Corsair T2 Road Warrior might be for you. This gaming chair offers the greatest amount of seat height that we’ve seen at 23.6-inches. Additionally, it has a 300-pound weight capacity, along with a 34.6-inch tall backrest and medium-sized 19.7- by 22-inch seat to support the rest of your body while seated.

As with most gaming chairs in this class, you get 4D adjustable armrests. Meanwhile, you can get a bit more horizontal in the Corsair T2 Road Warrior, as it can tip back to a 170-degree angle.

7. noblechairs HERO

Best Ergonomic Big and Tall Gaming Chair

If you’re worried about ergonomics and support, the noblechair HERO will save you. This gaming chair was designed for ergonomics from the ground up including the way its shape conforms to the natural curvature of your spine.

Rather than utilizing a squishy lumbar pillow, the back support here is rigid and built right into the chair itself. You can also forget about the neck pillow as the headrest is padded with memory foam for soft comfort. That said, if you absolutely need both a lumbar and head pillow, you can add them as optional extras.

The HERO was also made for big and tall users. It’s one of the strongest models in noblechairs lineup and gaming chairs in general with the ability to support up to 330 pounds.

8. Vertagear P-Line 6000

Best High-End Gaming Chair

The P-Line 6000 from Vertagear just looks like a big-boy gaming chair, doesn’t it? If there’s any doubt, this racing-style throne can support up to 440 pounds and is designed for users up to a height of 6’8”, so there’s plenty of room here.

As you might have guessed, a chair with that much support features a heavy-duty steel frame, a headrest pillow, and lumbar support, and the foam padding will keep you comfortable. Under the chair, you’ll find a five-wheel aluminum base lets the chair double as a personal scooter.

9. AKRacing Max Gaming Chair

Best Racing-Style Big and Tall Gaming Chair

AKRacing has been making waves in the gaming chair market since the fad started and its Max Gaming Chair sets an impressive bar for big and tall gamers. Under its tough steel frame, the Max Gaming Chair is loaded with a custom heavy-duty gas piston for adjusting your height and supporting gamers.

AKRacing claims the Titan can accommodate users weighing up to 400 pounds. Meanwhile, its 34.2-inch tall backrest should accommodate users over 6’9″ tall. Like AKRacing’s name would suggest, this big and tall gaming chair fully embraces the racing style.

10. Secretlab Titan 2020 Series

Softest Big and Tall Gaming Chair

The Secretlab Titan 2020 Series is just about the softest gaming chair we’ve ever sat in. The company uses a cold-cure foam mix that’s soft to the touch and yet firms up under pressure to support you. Then there’s also Secretlab’s SoftWeave Fabric that feels softer and is more breathable than the polyurethane or real leather found on gaming chairs.

Big and tall gamers will also like this gaming chair as its 33-inch tall backrest can support users up to 6’7″ tall—though weight capacity is a little limited at only 290 pounds. Additionally, you’ll find features great ergonomics thanks to the Titan’s built-in lumbar support, which you can dial in with a knob on the side of the chair. Lastly, Secretlab also includes a memory foam headrest with a cooling pad built into the lining.
