This year’s event will feature the reintroduction of panels.

Dates for this year’s Quakecon have been announced.

The announcement states the event will take place at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas from August 9-12. The festival will feature the reintroduction of panels and presentations, which will take place in the QuakeCon 2018 expo hall, which is open Friday-Sunday.

The convention is free for general attendees and open to the public, with the announcement inviting gamers to join “North America’s largest Bring-Your-Own-Computer LAN Party.” QuakeCon is set to offer a number of activities to attendees, including those who do not bring their PC.

According to the announcement, this year’s event will feature “sneak peeks of Bethesda’s upcoming titles and announcements” as well as tournaments, workshops, and exhibits from companies aiming to show off their latest offerings.

Last year over 9,000 attendees flocked to the 2017 gathering, and this year’s Bring-Your-Own-Computer event is set to double in size from the previous year. QuakeCon was founded in 1996, and this marks the 23rd year the convention will take place.

What announcements will be made at this year’s convention? At last year’s QuakeCon, Arkane Studios revealed if Dishonored 3 happens, it will feature entirely new characters, and IGN saw 14 of the craziest PCs ever.
