Hokuto ga Gotoku Delayed in Japan and Asia

SEGA Games has just announced that Hokuto ga Gotoku, the Fist of the North Star game for PlayStation 4 made by developers of SEGA’s famous Yakuza series, is having its release date delayed in Japan and Asia. You can read the translation of the official press release right below.

SEGA Games Co., Ltd. has changed the release date of the PlayStation 4 software Hokuto ga Gotoku, originally planned to be released in Japan and Asia on February 22, 2018, to March 8, 2018.

This title is an action adventure game which is being worked on by Ryu ga Gotoku Studio, taking place in the world of the popular manga Fist of the North Star. On this occasion, in order to satisfy all fans of both Fist of the North Star and Yakuza series, we have decided to delay the release date to further raise the quality of the game.

Due to the delay in the release, we deeply apologize to customers who have been waiting for the release, and also to everyone in the media and distribution. We humbly request your understanding.

An English version for Hokuto ga Gotoku has not been announced so far, although SEGA had previously launched a survey to the Western audience, to gauge interest in localizations of Hokuto ga Gotoku along with Yakuza Kiwami 2 and Yakuza Online when they were first revealed last August.
