First look at gameplay on the new map imminent.
The upcoming Desert-themed map for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds will be seen in action for the first time next week, with the map’s first official gameplay reveal scheduled to premiere during The Game Awards in the US on Thursday, December 7.
Battlegrounds’ upcoming Desert Map was first glimpsed back in July. It was revealed at the time that two extra maps were planned for the game: the aforementioned desert map, and another map set on an island in the Adriatic Sea.
A small salvo of screenshots showcasing the desert map were released earlier this month.

The Game Awards will air from 5:30pm PST on December 7 (8:30 EST/1:30am December 8 GMT/12:30pm December 8 AEDT).
