Prey Patch Fixes PS4 Performance Issues

Share.

Stuttering and screen-tearing fixed.

Update 1.05 for Prey is now live, bringing with it specific fixes for PS4-related issues, as well as over 30 additional fixes for Xbox One, PS4 and PC players.

According to a reddit post from Bethesda, the patch fixes the screen-tearing and stuttering issues that PS4 and PS4 Pro players have encountered. The game’s 1.04 update for PS4, which launched in May, added visual enhancements—like higher quality shadows and improved textures—for those playing on PS4 Pro.

In addition to addressing the Performance Issues for PS4 players, Prey’s new patch fixes a number of bugs and crashing issues for all platforms. Other tweaks like improved strength of melee aim assist and increased wrench range are featured as well.

Addressing Prey’s bugs and performance issues has been an ongoing process for Bethesda and Arkane. Many players encountered save-related issues and game crashes on PC when Prey first launched, which was addressed several days later with a patch.
