New Cars Revealed for Forza Horizon 3, Project CARS 2, Gran Turismo Sport

Share.

Confirmed during this week’s Geneva Motor Show.

As the 2017 Geneva Motor Show unfolds the makers of the upcoming Project CARS 2 and Gran Turismo Sport, as well as Forza Horizon 3, have each confirmed interesting new cars coming to their games.

Slightly Mad Studios today announced that the new McLaren 720S, making its official public debut at the Geneva Motor Show, will be featured in Project CARS 2 for the first time on PS4, Xbox One, and PC later this year.

The developer explains that this reveal “marks months of close collaboration between the teams at McLaren Automotive and Slightly Mad Studios in developing the virtual car whilst still developing the real car – a first for both.”

The successor to the 650S, the McLaren 720S is lighter, boasts a lower centre of gravity, double the aerodynamic efficiency, and comes with an all-new twin-turbo 4L V8 that can propel you from 0-100km/h in just 2.9 seconds, and onwards to 341km/h.

The second car is two-time F1 champ Emerson Fittipaldi’s Pininfarina Fittipaldi EF7, launched at Geneva in collaboration with the legendary Italian coachbuilder and car design firm Pininfarina, German race engineering company HWA, and Gran Turismo developer Polyphony Digital.

Polyphony will be bringing the Fittipaldi EF7 to Gran Turismo Sport as one of the series’ unique Vision GT vehicles, but the Fittipaldi EF7 is different to previous Vision GT cars as it’s destined to be a real car, available to purchase. An extremely limited run of 25 vehicles is planned.

Designed as a pure track car, the Fittipaldi EF7 will come packing a 600bhp, naturally-aspirated, 4.8L V8 and should weigh less than 1000 kilograms.

And if you’re after something you don’t need to wait for, Turn 10 and Playground Games have announced the addition of Tata Motors’ new TAMO Racemo – India’s first sports car – to Forza Horizon 3.

Powered by a tiny three-cylinder(!), turbocharged engine that can nonetheless muster 187 horsepower and 155 pound-feet of torque, the TAMO Racemo is a free addition to coincide with the car’s debut in Geneva (all Forza Horizon 3 players will receive the Racemo in their Forza Horizon 3 message centre for no additional cost).

The Racemo arrives alongside Horizon 3’s March car pack, which is the last covered by the game’s Car Pass, and brings with it another typically eclectic convoy of cult cars from all corners of the world.
