A 12-year evolution – the Mastersizer 3000

The Mastersizer 3000 is the world’s leading laser diffraction particle size analyzer for so many reasons. There is its proven ability to deliver reliable and robust particle size data time after time, it’s incredible ease of use, and the super flexibility it offers for sample presentation…but the list goes on and on!

Existing Mastersizer 3000 users certainly know this to be true. Just look at what they have to say themselves on Select Science.

Tuning up the Mastersizer 3000 like a Symphony orchestra

Since its launch in 2011, the Mastersizer 3000 has continued to evolve and bring so many exciting new features to the table. It’s been like watching an orchestra take form – going from an accomplished solo violinist to a full Symphony Orchestra with its different sections playing in complete harmony.

We have continued to upgrade the dispersion capabilities, both wet and dry, and introduced an automated sampling solution – the Auto-Lab. From delicate pharmaceuticals and food additives to battery slurries, drilling muds, and building materials, the Mastersizer 3000 has you covered.

Dynamic imaging has arrived in the form of the Hydro Insight – allowing for shape analysis of particles and providing a window into deeper materials analysis.

The Mastersizer is also becoming a smart instrument thanks to Smart Manager. And Data Quality Guidance is unlocking the potential of the Mastersizer 3000 with machine learning.

And there is still much more to follow!

A New Blog Series

As we celebrate the Mastersizer’s 12th birthday, we are kick-starting a series of blogs to look at this process of evolution. Each month we are going to look at an aspect of the Mastersizer 3000 that makes it so powerful.

With interviews, useful tips and tricks, and interesting application discussions – there is going to be lots to learn.

So, happy birthday Mastersizer 3000! I have a feeling this next year is going to be the best one yet…and quite possibly change particle size analysis forever.
