Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Fundraiser

The holiday season, and the generosity and goodwill it brings, can already be felt within Malvern Panalytical. Recently, the Americas Headquarters office, located in Westborough, Massachusetts, once again participated in the Operation Christmas Child shoebox project by gathering donations and hosting a packing party to benefit children in need this holiday season.

Operation Christmas Child provides a shoebox full of small gifts to children ranging in ages from 2 to 14, thanks to generous donors like the staff of the Westborough and Northampton, MA Malvern Panalytical offices. Once packed by the donors, the boxes are collected at drop-off centers before being sent to millions of children worldwide in hopes of bringing them joy on Christmas day.

A total of 47 boxes were packed this year between both offices, with gifts ranging from stuffed animals, jump ropes, and building block sets, to tissues, slippers, and hairbrushes, ensuring every child will receive items that are both fun and practical.

Nejea Davis has coordinated Malvern Panalytical’s participation in Operation Christmas Child over the years, planning packing parties and arranging drop-offs.

“Thank you to Malvern Panalytical for embracing the “Operation Christmas Child” charity for another year. I am pleased that this has become an employee-sponsored charity event. This is a faith-based charity initiative that reaches poverty-stricken kids all around the world. In 2017, close to 11 million shoeboxes were collected, of which 8.8 million were collected in the U.S. These shoeboxes were distributed in more than 160 countries worldwide. This was indeed another successful year packing shoeboxes and I always enjoy working with fellow colleagues who participate. We packed 47 boxes and 47 kids will be delighted to receive these shoeboxes. Thank you for the generous giving and your time.”

Thank you to all of those at the Malvern Panalytical Westborough and Northampton offices who contributed this year and helped bring some joy to children in need. Happy holidays!
