As 2020 is coming to a close, I’ve had tons of time on my hands alone during this pandemic. The environment has been ripe for me to do a lot of thinking and reflection and I believe I’ve reflected on almost everything: my life, my health, my family, friends, the virus, the world, politics, social media, the environment, sports, music, dance, Zoom, books, cooking, traveling and the lack of it now, and more.
As we move into 2021, I have really fine-tuned my list of things I don’t want, as there have been many examples this year. Knowing what we don’t want is a great tool for creating intentions for what we do. So I now have greater focus on what I want moving forward into 2021. More importantly, I can see it clearly in my mind and heart. Below are some of the things I can Imagine. Can you see it with me?
Imagine a world where not one more person dies from this virus. Imagine a world where people trust the science and take personal responsibility for their behaviors in helping to eradicate this virus. Imagine a world where the U.S. government works with all the states in coordinating and delivering the vaccine around the country. Imagine a world where everyone can get the vaccine for this virus, at great speed and affordable or no cost. Imagine our world where we’ve conquered the COVID-19 virus through education, governmental organization and vaccines.
Imagine a world where freedom of speech is respected and always respectful. Imagine public gatherings always peaceful. Imagine civility in our political world, where opinions are expressed respectfully. Imagine our elected officials truthfully representing us. Imagine our country when everyone who is eligible votes. Imagine politics without lobbyists and financial favors.
Imagine all sorts of green technology turning the climate change around. Imagine living peacefully with our neighbors, other countries and animals. Imagine cooperating with other countries and sharing our innovations with each other, for society’s good.
Imagine a world where people know they can make a difference. Imagine a world with kindness spreading wildly across the planet. Imagine justice for all who have been wronged. Imagine forgiveness through love. Imagine the healings that will take place when love is the main driver. Imagine love everywhere you can. Imagine you spreading love. Imagine taking care of each other, without expectations in return. Imagine giving and joyfully accepting receiving. Imagine the best for others. Imagine the best for yourself.
Imagine waking up to a peaceful world, everyday. Imagine hearing good news in all the media everyday. Imagine how our world would feel so much better if we all appreciated what we have, rather than what we think we lack. Just imagine the possibilities and how good that would feel!
