Lord Have Mercy, Florida’s public schools (you can read it here) will now teach students that SOME Black people benefited from slavery because it taught them useful skills, part of new African American History standards approved Wednesday that was blasted by a state teachers' union as a “step backward.” How can any Florida parents support this attempt to edit history? Why is it wrong to teach American history as it happened? How will these students succeed in college-level history classes? This is disrespectful to my ancestors, me, and my children. Praying.
