Church this is fake outraging, now all of a sudden some right-wing Christian media, want to act like they care about prisoners. When California was releasing non-violent offenders due to Covid they wanted more of them locked up. So, now we’re supposed to believe that they care about incarcerated women. Heck just pretend these women are Mexican refugees and you won’t care again. The lack of compassion empathy and understanding is astounding. A human being should be in a less threatening environment. They should not be getting raped. No one deserves that. As for the pronoun if she identifies as female then she is a female and should be in a woman’s prison, yes, I said it. 

Since January, hundreds of male prison inmates in California, who identify as female or nonbinary, have requested housing in a women's facility - a growing desire since Gov. Gavin Newsom signed a bill supporting the LGBTQ community.   The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation says 261 Male Inmates have asked to be transferred to housing that matches their gender identity, according to The Daily Caller News Foundation (DCNF). Deputy Press Secretary Terry Thornton told DCNF, "255 are from transgender women and non-binary incarcerated people who are requesting to be housed in a female institution and six are from transgender men and non-binary incarcerated people who are requesting to be housed in a male institution."
