Going to Confession can be intimidating. The sacramental process of entering a confessional; of disclosing our sinful thoughts, words, and actions; as well as disclosing the good deeds that we failed to do, can potentially provoke anxiety and fear in some people. Perhaps this is why some of us do not go to the sacrament of reconciliation today. However, faith in this sacrament has proven to be more compelling and overpowering than fear in those that go to confession regularly. Why?
