When leaders hate other tribes

When you hate other Tribes you make them champions. And you will have to live under that illusion that you are doing justice by hating them.

There are people in the Bible who Hated others. They ended up being losers. Historically the so-called Second World War was bent on hate of other tribes. The perpetrators ended up losing.

This was a home for someone but had to flee hatred.
Malawi’s history of full of people who hated others but the more they hated others, the more they lost. The people who are hated work on survival strategies and eventually they beat the system. At one point some people thought the best was to keep certain tribes from certain courses. Yes they succeeded but that led to more professionals coming from some “hated tribes.” The haters discovered this rather too late and to this day, that tilted Malawi’s professional balance.

Some Churches in Malawi were born because some tribal groupings were hated by some whether near or far. These hated tribal churches ended up doing far much better that the hating churches.
The issue is that the one who hates others will remain a slave to their Hatred. They will be the losers at all times. Unfortunately these attitudes are being passed on to the younger generations. We may not want to admit but this will soon catch up with all Malawians in reality.

Instead of promoting love, we have some useless leaders (at all levels) unfortunately, who promote hatred of others.

This hatred of others sadly is not only at regional levels-it is much localized even amongst people within the same region. Imagine how many people are chased from some district just because the person comes from another district yet within the same region.

Malawians appear polite, loving but sadly there are many who are hurting and angry. In some countries, that anger was let out and now people live with restraint. Here, we suppress and pretend all is ok. We are living on a time bomb. I know what I have written here will be disputed!

As someone has said, “Malawi needs a Truth and Reconciliation Commission.” Unfortunately few would buy this idea as they hide under the plastic unity and national unity. God help us.
