The POWER of God's Word - Can ANYTHING stop it?

Anybody that calls themselves "a Christian" knows that there’s power in God's Word, but if this is the case, why are many Christians still struggling in their walk with God? Sometimes you pray and pray, but you don’t receive the blessing. It seems as if God is not listening to you, and this is  because you might be praying without the understanding of the Spirit, but today, you will learn what's stopping the blessing from coming to your life, and what's behind the power of His Word, so you can become more effective in your prayer life. In this article, we will be looking at the following:

·        The power of the truth
·        Satan, the father of all lies
·        The power of faith
·        What can stop the power of God's Word?

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him, and without him was not anything made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness, and the darkness comprehended it not.”
John 1:1-5

“In him (The WORD) was life, and the life was the LIGHT”

Many times, when we pray, we say, "In the name of Jesus," and we don’t even understand why we say that. Why did the Lord teach us to pray in his name? There is a reason for that. When the demons saw him coming, they couldn’t stand even seeing him; they begged him to cast them out because the Light was shining on them. The truth of what is supposed to be was present, and they knew that they had to leave because, in Reality, THEY DO NOT EXIST.

The deceiving power of Satan collapses when it’s exposed to the light because the light is the truth and the life; the light is the real existence, and its true essence is the Word of God. When you say, "In the name of Jesus," you're actually saying, "In the name of the truth." Immediately, the truth (What's supposed to be) comes into existence. This is why when He said, “Lazarus, come forth,” Lazarus came out.

THE POWER OF THE TRUTH

We need to understand that the truth is power, but in order to understand this, we must erase everything we know about reality, and we have to start thinking outside the box. We must start thinking in the Spirit, not letting our flesh get in our way, but before we begin, let’s take a look at what the Bible says about the Truth:

“He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light thathis deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.”
John 3:18-21

“But he that doeth truth cometh to the LIGHT.” We can clearly see that the Bible is comparing the truth with the light, so let’s drill down further. When you enter a movie theater and the lights are completely turned off, you’re not able to see anything at all; you extend your hand in front of you, but no matter how hard you try, you see absolutely nothing. At that moment, your reality disappears; your reality no longer exists.

When the lights are turned back on, your reality instantly comes back again. Now, think about this for a moment. The above verse says: “That his deeds may be made MANIFEST.”

“Manifest” is the keyword to understanding the light. When the light in the movie theater is turned back on, then you’re able to see the world again; you begin to see your reality. This means that what you see; what’s being MANIFESTED, is the truth because reality is equal to truth.

Now, let’s go back in time and change history. Let’s take a look at what’s really supposed to exist. We’re going to rewind our present reality back to the moment of creation. Pay close attention to this because we’re going to start all over again.

Let’s do a little thought experiment, so close your eyes and pretend that you’re standing right in the middle of the Garden of Eden. Keep in mind that in the beginning, before evil took over the creation, God made everything perfect.

Take a look around you, what do you see? What’s your experience? Right now, you are an eternal creature; illness is something that you never heard of; there’s no such thing as cancer; there’s no such thing as a blind man in this world; no pain; no bleeding.

Everything you touch gives fruit; poverty is unheard of; everything is yours, but yet, nothing belongs to you because there’s no such thing as possessions. Everything belongs to everybody. Selfishness doesn’t exist, and you don’t understand the word, hatred, nor the words, crime and war.

This is reality; this is what’s supposed to be; this is the TRUTH. If you turn on the light of the Spirit, this is exactly what you would see; in other words, this would be your reality. Are you beginning to get the picture?

Well, don’t go anywhere. This is just half of the picture; this is just the beginning to understanding the truth behind the power of God's Word. First, let’s gather all the pieces, and later we will put them all together, so we can get a full view of the entire picture.

Now, don’t go anywhere, stay in that place and try to forget everything about the world that you’ve left behind. Stay in that reality, and think about what’s going on around you. Think about the things that you see and experience in your new body. Don’t go anywhere because you are now standing at the heart of reality itself. You are standing in the middle of WHAT IS SUPPOSED TO BE.

SATAN, THE FATHER OF ALL LIES

As we all know, Satan is the father of all lies, and these lies are like a Cancer to God's Word. I’ve seen many documentaries and read a lot about Near-Death Experiences (NDE.) There have been many studies done on this matter, and nearly all of those who have experienced a NDE say the same thing.

Amongst other things, they experience a bright light that covers everything. This light is so bright, and they describe it as being like nothing they’ve ever seen before.

Now, I don’t know if you believe in Near-Death Experiences or not. This is not what I want to talk about, but the truth of the matter is that if you are a Christian, you would know that in fact, this is what actually takes place in heaven. The light of God illuminates everything.

In the previous pages, we took a trip to the beginning of time, and we have already talked about that the Bible refers to the truth as being the light that illuminates everything, but now let’s take a look at the opposite of that. Let’s take a mental trip out on space.

If you could take a spaceship and travel away from our cluster of galaxies; away from all light sources and place yourself in the middle of nowhere; and if you turn off all the lights from your spaceship, what would you see? That’s right. Not a thing; absolutely nothing at all.

Now, think about this for a second. Darkness is what predominates in the physical world. Darkness is all there is left if you were to take away all light sources, so that means that darkness is the physical reality of our human existence. There’s nothing out there; no reality. Doesn’t this sound like the opposite of the spiritual reality?

The Bible uses the analogy of light and darkness for a reason, and that reason is that exactly the same action takes place between the truth and the deception. In our physical world, darkness and deception rule, and we were brought up to believe in this deception as being the truth.

Basically, we’re surrounded by darkness exactly the same way that we are surrounded by the deception. Our current reality is so dark that our eyes are blinded by it. It’s so dark that we can’t see the actual truth; we can’t see the light.

Just as darkness is the opposite of the light, the deception is the opposite of the truth, and in this deceiving reality that we live in, our bodies get sick; food goes rotten; we kill our neighbors; we fight cruel wars; humanity is full of hatred and selfishness; families and relationships are destroyed, and the list goes on. This is our reality and just like the darkness, the deception is NOT SUPPOSED TO EXIST.

Now, let’s get back to you. You are at the beginning of time; where the truth still reigns, but let’s bring you back to the darkness; you’re back home, or in your office, reading this book. Some of you might be facing a cruel reality at the present time; some of you may have cancer, or maybe are facing a divorce, and some of you might be struggling financially.

Whatever you’re going through, I tell you today that this is nothing but a lie from the devil. In reality, you’re not supposed to be sick; cancer does not exist; your financial situation is not the reality. Everything that you experience is nothing but a filthy lie from the mouth of Satan.

So we can conclude that the darkness (What’s not supposed to be) is behind the deception of Satan, and we’re against the wall, facing two opposite realities, just like the light and the darkness exist, opposite to each other, but the big question is: Are we going to remain in the dark?

THE POWER OF FAITH

Faith is the power behind the Word of God, but it seems to be as if many people still don’t understand the importance of faith. Imagine trying to drive a car with an empty tank, how far do you think you will go? You know the answer to that question, and if you do, you can compare the car to the Word of God, and your faith with the gasoline needed to run the car.

Now, let’s take a look at the following Bible verse, so we can understand this concept:

“Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again. Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day. Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?”
John 11:23-26

“I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.” We cannot blame Martha for saying those words, or could we? What would you have done if you would’ve been in her shoes? What the Lord said to her was out of her reality; her brother was dead, and not only that he was dead, but his body was already putrefied.

If you already read my testimony, you probably know a little bit about me. In my life, I have faced situations where I’ve been pinned against the wall, and it’s not easy, but I can clearly tell you that faith comes alive in those moments when we feel hopeless.

Many Christians today pray, but their prayers don’t even make it through the roof because as they pray, deep inside the heart, there is doubt. Prayers are not being answered and miracles are not happening because we don’t understand what actually takes place in the Spirit when we pray.

In the language of prayer, the word, but, doesn’t exist. We need to understand that the action of the Word is our faith. You can say all you want, and pray all you want, but if the faith is not there, you’re just wasting your time. Without faith your words are empty and dead; without faith, your prayer is nothing.

We need to understand that we live in a reality where darkness rules, and when we pray, we’re calling the truth to come into existence. When you pray, you’re basically calling the truth to prevail over the deception, the same way that you light up a candle in a dark room; the darkness disappears and the light prevails.

You remember when I asked you to stay at the beginnings of time, where the truth prevailed? Well, I will tell you a secret, every time that you pray, you need to go back there; you need to put yourself in the Garden of Eden.

You are doing nothing if you pray and you are not putting yourself in that place. When Martha told Jesus that she knew that her brother was going to rise again in the resurrection at the last day, she was standing in the darkness.

But the Lord, standing in the light, said to her, “I am the resurrection, and the life (The light)” Later he said to her, “Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?” So if we BELIEVE, everything will be possible.

What’s your problem today? Do you have cancer? Are you, or a loved one, in a difficult situation? Put yourself, and your loved ones at that place and start to rebuke the devil, and he will go away. Rebuke the illness, and it will go away. You know why? I’ll tell you another secret: Because, in the light, the devil doesn’t really exist.

WHAT CAN STOP THE POWER OF GOD'S WORD?

I’ve been a Christian for most of my life, I’m 46 years old at the present time, and I accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior back in 1989, at the age of 19. I have survived a war, and I have seen death face to face many times. There have been many miracles that I’ve witnessed. One of them, the deliverance of my own mother, who was possessed on and off by demonic forces for over 15 years.

My pastor’s wife called me that day, and told me to bring my mother to the church because there was a deliverance group visiting from San Salvador (The Capital of El Salvador) that afternoon. I called my mother immediately, so she went to the church, and even though I couldn’t be there that day, I was a witness of her complete deliverance because there hasn’t been not even one single demonic possession ever since.

My mother expelled a white foam that covered the entire floor of the room; it was supernatural. No human being could have so much liquid inside. Her deliverance was a great miracle in many ways. I was a young and inexperienced Christian at the time, but I truly believe that on that day, someone from the deliverance ministry understood what it meant to die for the Lord and was completely surrendered to Christ.

Many times, others prayed for my mother, but this time it was totally different. The results speak for themselves.  My mother is now free from this demonic possessions and serves the Lord with a grateful heart. Once you discover the truth behind the power of Satan, you can be sure that the power of God's Word will be manifested in your life, and therefore, miracles will begin to take place.

I used my mother as an example, but there are many miracles that I have witnessed in my life, and these miracles take place when the light of the truth shines in your life. I always like to compare a miracle with the light of a flashlight. No matter how dark it is, a little bit of light will make its way through the darkness and reveal the reality. This is a perfect analogy that we can use to understand a miracle.

When a problem occurs in your life, you begin to feel fear in your heart; your peace goes away and the uncertainty makes you feel hopeless; your mind is distracted, and when people try to get your attention, you’re not there. Doesn’t this sound like being in the dark? And this actually happens because darkness is covering the reality from revealing itself.

In Matthew 8:23, we read that the Lord and the disciples were in a ship and behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves, but he was asleep, and his disciples came to him and woke him up saying, “Lord, save us, we perish.” We know what happened next. The Lord said to them, “Why are you full of fear, O you of little faith?”

He got up, and gave orders to the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm, and the men were full of wonder, saying, “What sort of man is this, that even the wind and the sea do his orders?” He told them that they were full of fear and of little faith. They were not expecting a miracle at all. This is because they were standing in the dark.

We see many examples in the Bible: Lazarus' sister did not believe that he would be resurrected; Peter sank when he was walking on water; Thomas couldn't believe his eyes when he saw Jesus, and the list goes on. We can all agree that God's Word is the most powerful force that exists; nevertheless, when there's doubt in your heart, the power of God will not be there because light cannot be mixed with darkness.

Does this mean that the power is gone? Of Course not! God is powerful, and nothing can stop Him, but when your heart is full of doubt, His power will not be there for you... In other words, the only thing that can stop the power of God's Word (in your life) is YOU!
