Small But Wonderful

“You don’t have enough Faith,” Jesus told them. “I tell you the
truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could
say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would
move. Nothing would be impossible. – Matthew 17:20-21

According to Wikipedia, a mustard seed is only about 1 to 2 millimeters small. Here’s a picture I got off Google:

People might say this verse is about “God removing spiritual obstacles, not real mountains.” I say different. Understanding faith doesn’t have to be difficult. Faith is about believing God for all that He is and He can literally Move Mountains in any way that He wishes to move them.

For a faith this small to move mountains, what more can the power of faith do to bigger problems like financial provisions to heartaches? Do I doubt that this is true? No. I have full confidence in what God can do. It’s not what He can do for me, but what He simply does because He is He.

This kind of faith puts everything in perspective for new believers, too. Through the moment you believe in Him, starting with that small and simple faith, He can already silence the waves and calm the storms because He can. Because He loves you.

I’m not expecting miracles to spawn from left to right, but just knowing and believing that the God that sees me can do immeasurable things, I know that His plans for me will come true.

I believe in His power and the fulfillment of His promises. Do you?
