On 14th of November, people (including cabinet ministers and high officials) start gathering at statue (where Chacha Nehru was cremated) in order to pay homage to Pt. Nehru and celebrate this great occasion. A big wreath of colorful flowers is placed by the officials at his Samadhi following the prayers and hymns chanting are held. 14 नवंबर का बहुत महत्व है और पूरे भारतवर्ष में हर साल इसे बाल दिवस के रुप में मनाया जाता है। 14 नवंबर पंडित जवाहर लाल नेहरु का जन्मदिन है (भारत के पहले प्रधानमंत्री)। बच्चे उन्हें प्यार से चाचा नेहरु कहते थे क्योंकि वो उन्हें बहुत सम्मान और प्यार करते थे। चाचा नेहरु का बच्चों के प्रति बहुत लगाव था और वो हमेशा उनके बीच में रहना पसंद करते थे। इस दिन भारत के इस महान नेता को श्रद्धांजलि देने के लिये लोग उनकी समाधि स्थल पर इकठ्ठा होते हैं। प्रधानमंत्री, राष्ट्रपति, कैबिनेट मंत्री और उच्च अधिकारियों द्वारा पुष्पमाला अर्पित की जाती है और फिर बाद में बच्चों द्वारा प्रार्थना और भजन किया जाता है। देश के लिये उनके योगदान, अंतर्राष्ट्रीय राजनीति में उपलब्धि और शांति प्रयासों के लिये उनको याद करने के द्वारा लोग इस उत्सव को मनाते है।
