Have you ever been told something by someone close to you and they made it sound like it was real and that it was true only to find out later down the road it was untrue.  Maybe you have been living your life or doing things because of what they said to you.  You believed them and now you are hurt because of their lies.

I can understand that because that has happened to many of us.  In fact, I want to go further than that and tell you that this situation is constantly occurring and being used against people all over.  Look at the news and you will see how people are being scammed with no regard for the pain this causes people.  If you grew up in the 70’s and 80’s, you will know there was a period of time when brainwashing was a big deal.  Cults were built around the idea of brainwashing someone to believe what the brainwashes wants them to believe.

Satan works this same way.  Now I know many of you think Satan doesn’t do much on a daily basis except for killing and blowing up people in acts of terrorism.  You can easily see that as something that is of a demonic origin.  After all, when God made all of us, He made everything good.  But everything doesn’t stay good due to people and the enemy.  An enemy that is constantly laughing at human beings and thinking we are weak and foolish.  And if the truth be known we are weak in certain areas of our lives and we do sometimes do foolish things based on what we see on TV or what somebody tells us.

Even God told us to try ever spirit by the spirit (1 John 4:1).  You can’t just take things at face value anymore.  Even God gives you proof of what He is saying through the 66 books of the Bible called the Holy Word.  Everything He has said, He has brought to pass.  He proves that He loves you efficaciously.  Look at all the beauty, the grass the sky, your home.  You have a roof over your head.  You may not have everything you want but you are alive and breathing.  You have your right mind and the desire to learn and know God and live a better life.  So you are after improvement and you believe you can live a better life.  And that is true.

So why do you keep doing things that bring pain?  Maybe you draw people to you that create problems on a regular basis.  That’s because of what you believe and think in your mind.  The enemy, your enemy speaks to your mind.  That’s what he does and that’s why he is so effective.  He speaks thoughts to you.  The Bible calls then fiery darts.  He shoots them at you every day.  So while you may not be directly impacted by the terrorism going on in Brussels or Paris, etc., you are still under fire every day.  Satan is telling you things like you’re too old to accomplish your dreams, you’ll never be anything, you’re too fat, too skinny, not educated enough, your family doesn’t love you, you don’t have enough money, or that God doesn’t exist.  Satan even tells you that he doesn’t exist, that it is all fabricated. He sends spirits of depression to you; things that make you feel ugly or trapped in relationships.  Feelings of being unwanted.

If you feel any of these things or are plagued by these thoughts, then you are under terrorist attack from Satan.  It is a mechanism designed and implemented by Satan who is an angel but he is a fallen angel.  He designed this brainwashing program so that you would never go any further than you are and in fact he doesn’t like that you even made it to where you are now or are even alive.  And his desire is for you to never realize your dreams or know God and know that you are a beautiful person.  And he definitely doesn’t want you to know that God can heal you of anything!!!  I don’t care what you have; God can heal any kind of sickness.  AIDS, cancer, depression, whatever.

I have personally seen people healed when I prayed for them. I have a woman in my life right now that was so severely depressed that she could barely go to work every day.  It was by grace that God kept her job at Verizon.  She would have periods where she was OK, but there were other periods where she would have to take off three days to a week and it was God’s hand that kept them from firing her.  But today she is free from depression.  When I met her, I began to intercede for her and I taught and trained her and even brought her into my home.  And God freed her but before she was freed she went through some serious demonic warfare where she had to go to the psychiatric ward and stay there overnight.  Prior to our meeting, she went to a therapist weekly but it did no good.  But when she came to God with her whole heart, He healed her through prayer.  I and one of my intercessors, we wore God out about it and today you would never know that she was depressed.  And it has been some years and she is still free from depression because that is what God does.

Satan wants to brainwash us and make us feel like we cannot accomplish anything good or excel in life. But it is never too late. The Bible says you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you (Philippians 4:13).  But you have to do it through Christ my friends with your whole heart not just half-heartedly.  To say you believe He died on the cross is not enough because even the devil knows that but the difference is Satan will not serve Him with love.  So Satan is condemned already but you are not if you give your heart over to God today and invite Him into your life.  Then allow Him to change you and help you achieve your dreams.  Don’t believe that brainwashing you hear every day in your mind.  If it is negative, then it is not God.  John 3:16 is the proof of how God really feels about you.

The fact that God gives you love and makes sure you have food every day, those are just tidbits designed to show that God is serious about loving you.  It’s time for you to love Him back and become what He wants you to.  And ask Him to teach you how to stop the devil and fight back against the brainwashing.  Satan is a liar; Jesus said he is the father of lies (John 8:44).  Stopped being brainwashed.
