No woman needs to put up with Violence from her husband, no fatwa nor Imam will say that. Sometimes culture, fear and the sense of being alone or judged is the reason most woman don’t seek help and or divorce.
If a man uses Islam to justify his violence then he has not understood Islam and worse has said of Allah which he knows not.
To all men who have done this, seek help from Allah first then seek the help of a professional councilor. It’s not embarrassing walking into a marriage and Domestic Violence councilor rather the embarrassment is when police escort you away from your family and your children looking on.
May Allah safeguard our sisters and guide our brothers.
The prophet Muhammad peace be upon him has ordered and advised the husband to be kind and treat well the wife. More so he said that the best of men are those who are kind to their wives.
“The best of you are those who are the best to their wives, and I am the best of you to my wives.” Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 3895; Ibn Maajah, 1977
