The recently defrocked RC Sproul Jr and his Highlands Study Center will be hosting the Generations Conference in Abingdon Virginia, May 5 and 6. As we wrote about previously in RC Sproul Jr Speaks On "Honor"? You've Gotta Be Kidding!, the theme of the conference is "Giving Honor To Whom Honor Is Due." So how well does RC Sproul Jr score on keeping the Fifth Commandment and honoring his own father? Has anything improved since the last time we reported on it? Tragically, no. In fact, RC Sproul Jr continues to just prove our point that he doesn't practice what he preaches.

Here's the latest example of RC Sproul Jr dishonoring his father, and it's from the March/April 2006 edition of Every Thought Captive -- the new RC Sproul Jr Top Ten List:

to ask R.C. the elder, in the context of child-rearing, "What in the world were you thinking?"

Yes, we realize it's meant to be a joke. But in our estimation this joke isn't funny. It's a slam on Dr. RC Sproul's "child-rearing" skills, and one can only assume that if Vesta Sproul were speaking at the conference, she too would have been slammed as part of the "joke." It's dishonoring, and the fact that it may have been intended to be funny doesn't in any way make it any the less dishonoring.

RC Sproul Jr is 40-years old. He needs to cease these juvenile jabs at his parents. He needs to start keeping the Fifth Commandment. He needs to cease speaking so pridefully and writing so shamelessly of his profligate adolescent years (Ligonier Tales), a rebellious time of his life which likely caused his parents great shame and embarrassment. RC Sproul Jr needs to grow up. But as was recently pointed out on another blog, RC Sproul Jr thinks like and talks like a (quoting RC Sproul Jr himself) "junior high girl."

Having RC Sproul Jr speak at a conference on the Fifth Commandment is like having Bill Clinton speak at a conference on marital fidelity.

Far more relevant than Dr. RC Sproul's parenting skills is RC Sproul Jr's skills at honoring his parents. The pressing question of the moment is:
