CREC RC Sproul Jr. Cover-Up Committee

Patrick Poole of Existential Space has been writing articles for Michael Metzler's Poohs Think. Between the two of them they've been doing a valiant work of exposing the Mendacious Mullah of Moscow, as well as the ongoing R.C. Sproul Jr scandal. Both Sproul and Wilson are magnets for scandal and both of them have well-earned the exposure they're now getting.

Doug Wilson has been publicly covering for his pal R.C. Sproul Jr for almost three months, particularly in his "A Justice Primer" series, signaling his intentions to exonerate and reordain the Saint Peter Four.

And now to Patrick:

Just got some word from the St. Peter Triangle about the ongoing Confederation of Reformed Cults (CREC) "not judicial in nature" Official RC Sproul Jr. Cover-up Committee that I thought I should share with the visitors to the Wood:

1) It seems that the "not judicial in nature" CREC Committee has repeatedly visited the area, yet not seen fit to speak with ANY of Sproul’s victims or accusers (though they have expressed their willingness to speak to the committee), thus confirming that any vindication or "Clearing of R.C. Sproul Jr’s Name" (thanks to Shaun Nolan) due to come forth from the CREC Cover-Up Committee is a farce.

2) The committee is being headed by none other than Dennis Tuuri, who a few years ago had his own ecclesiastical dirty laundry cleaned and bleached by the CREC. Tuuri was recommended for this job by none other than the Great Leader himself. It’s good to see that the CREC has enlisted one of their most experienced scandal-ridden personnel to help Sproul navigate the cover-up process and that the Great Leader has such unshakable faith in Turri to completely cover-up the matter. Had Shade been available, Sproul could have gone to trial and THEN ignored their judgment, instead of bailing half-way through the process.

3) The St. Peter Steering Committee that asked for the CREC’s "pastoral" assistance in forming the Cover-Up Committee has gotten noticeably larger; it has expanded from the two original members to now include RC Jr. and the other men defrocked by the RPCGA. While the four new members appointed themselves to the committee without any authorization from the congregation, no one should think for a moment that there is any tyrannical abuses going on in St. Peter, let alone post anything on the Internet about it (at least according to Randy Booth).

4) The Cover-Up Committee’s and St. Peter Four’s ham-handedness has not been received well by some of the members of St. Peter. At least one parish is considering not calling their provisional elder looking to be exonerated by the CREC Cover-Up Committee. Who even mentioned "vote of no confidence"? Not me.

5) One item that has not endeared the St. Peter Four to their congregation is the steadfast refusal by the defrocked session to turn over financial information to members that have requested it. Could this be related at all to the extensive charges of gross financial fraud that were looming over the St. Peter Four if they had continued in the RPCGA and taken the disputed matters to trial? No one knows for sure, but RC Sproul Sr. told Shaun Nolan that it was all OK because Sprout has hired an accountant and tax attorney. Glad to see that he has so much confidence in his son (who was fired from Ligonier’s Table Talk not long ago). Maybe Sprout needs a criminal attorney?

6) Not everyone connected with the CREC Cover-Up Committee has nothing but warm fuzzies for Sprout and his henchmen. I’m told that at least one CREC official has expressed concern about some resistance from two of the St. Peter Four. My source would not identify who the two were, but did say that it wasn’t Jay Barfield or Wayne Hayes, leaving Sprout and Laurence Windham. Speculation abounds about who the other two might be.

Yes, it seems that Sproul is making himself right at home in the CREC. Thankfully, the tireless work of the Cover-Up Committee and its experienced personnel are close to exonerating him. Then he and the Great Leader can swap spit (from the booze bottles, silly) without having to worry about all those Internet intoleristas. All then will be well and right in WilsonWorld. I’ll post more as things develop.

Viva la Revolution!

Patrick
