What we see often depends on what we are looking for

What we see often depends on what we are looking for.

What we see often depends on what we are looking for

This statement is true. Often multiple people can look at something and see something different. Most often we can’t see something unless there is something we are looking for.

Reminds me many years ago what color is that dress. Or if you look at clouds and describe what they look like.

A Similar saying is beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Or another one man’s trash, is another man’s treasure.

It just shows how our minds think when we see something and process it to what we believe we see or don’t see.

Maybe we need to clear our minds and thoughts, if we can, the next time we try to see something.

I pray you see the True light of Christ in your life.

Did you know this quote often used in sermons. Did you know the quote was attributed to John Lubbock, a 19th-century politician, poet, writer and philanthropist. He is most known for his contributions to archaeology, architecture and the evolutionary theory. Meaning Lubbock believed in evolution over creation.

Writing idea from “701 Sentence Sermons” a Book about attention getting quotes for church signs, bulletins, newsletters and sermons. And of course they can be used for writing prompts on blogs too. This book is by L. James Harvey. ISBN 0-8254-2889-0.
