Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu has instructed us that of all the different Vedic ritualistic instructions, of all the great mantras in the Vedas, and of all the teachings of the great sadhus, there is one verse which is the most important and pertinent to all those aspiring for perfection. He explained that every devotee should take this one verse, put it on a golden necklace and wear it around his neck .
