In a controversial move, a senior US scientific committee has given the green light to one of the most contentious forms of genome editing: where genetic changes made to human embryos will then be inherited by following generations. For the first time, a panel of experts from two of the most recognised scientific institutions in the US has advised that this process – called germline editing – should be seriously considered as an option in the future, and not outright prohibited. A series of studies shows that both speakers and listeners expect novel stories to be bigger crowd pleasers, but that listeners end up enjoying familiar stories more. (source)

They say that Science is ethically neutral. That it does tell nothing about ethics. That it just lays down the “facts”. (another laughable statement – read other articles here about that)

Given the above we would dream that this was the case.

The truth is that science is not ethically neutral at all.

Science today is deeply UNETHICAL.

It CHOOSES to ignore evident rules of culture and civilization (e.g. that not swearing is good manners). It CHOOSES to make people fake and hypocritical (no, friends are not there to tell you what you know but to challenge you). It CHOOSES to be the new god with no rules to hold its power.

Because this is what happens when you forget your roots. In the past science and religion were one and the same – for some very good reasons. Einstein warned that you cannot have science without religion. After we thought we do not need God everything was easy. All it took was some more criticism of everything (where ‘everything’ means ‘Christian’) and there you go!

The once ethical became neutral.

But evil is not won by “neutral”, but by actively good.

How easy was then for the “neutral” to become “evil”.

Impartial…

Unbiased…

Objective…

The plague of our modern civilization.
