A friend I hadn't seen in years came up to me at the tefillin stand. I asked him where he was Living. He said that was still living in Toronto, but he also had an apartment in Israel, and he and his wife were thinking about moving here.

     I told him to definitely move here.

     He said he had just prayed that Hashem should show him what to do.

     I said, "Great! I pray like that too, but you have to Pay Attention and see what signs come so you will know which way to go. So, if a door slams hard in your face, Thank G-d! That's a clear sign not to go that way, or if something is made very easy, then go in that direction. But go slowly and keep looking to see that it continues to be easy in that direction.

     Often Hashem answers our prayers, but we are usually so distracted with daily life that we do not recognize the answers.

     Definitely ask, but you have to pay attention so you will see the answer.
