The Talmud lists the levels of spiritual attainment a Jew can reach. The second from the highest is called Ruach Hakodesh - Holy Spirit -.

     It says that a Jew who has attained such a high level can bring the dead back to life.

     Another sage explains that this means the Jew with Ruach Hakodesh can bring another Jew to repentance. Such is the unrepentant likened to the dead, and one who has then come to the ways of Hashem as one who has come back to life.

     And such is one of your gifts… that you may be able to help another Jew to come to Hashem's ways…you will be bringing him or her back to life.
