Tying Tzitzits (fringes)
Tzitzits are the fringes that Jewish males wear on the four corners of our garments. There are a number of different customs as to how to tie them. As with tefillin, we should follow the custom of our fathers. The people (Jews) go by the mother, and the tribes and their customs go by the father.
This is the custom that I use. I like that the string that wraps around and forms the inner columns is the same string that wraps around and over them. It reminds us that Hashem both fills and surrounds all.
