Holy Influence

     Holy Influence

There is a level of holy influence called Ruach HaKodesh. Hashem, so to speak, steps in and has something out of the ordinary happen.

Shabbos mornings, after the Torah reading, the Reader calls out names of people who need a special blessing, mostly for the ill. While the rest of the men in the minyan tell the reader the names they want him to call out, I hand him a short list. It's easier that way. Last week, for the first time ever, when he handed back the list he said, "It's too long."

I didn't say anything but I wondered why he said that. It's the same list I have been giving him for some time.

Some five days later I received an email from the husband of one of the women on the list. He apologized for not telling me sooner, but his wife passed away a week before!

Her name should not have been read out for a healing! The list was too long!

Later, I asked the Reader why he said the list was too long. He said he didn't know why.

I love it when Hashem has these kinds of things happen. We can't call them Ruach HaKodesh, they are not on such a high level, but I wonder why He did it? Maybe, we are so close to the Redemption that the truth just had to come out.
