The purpose of the Jew in this World is to reveal Hashem's Presence. But what does this actually mean? Hashem is present everywhere at all times. Yes, He is present, but He hides.

     When Hashem reveals Himself, He does not show the Jew His actual Being. Man cannot see G-d and live! The bliss would be too great. Instead, He shows us that He is Present. That He is actually right here. The glory of this experience is so wondrous, so fulfilling, it causes the soul to release its hold on the body, and the soul blissfully begins to return to its Source. As soon as this begins, Hashem immediately hides His Revealed Presence again so the soul will be able to continue in this world until its time to go home comes.

     He hides again, and we search again… looking for His Holy Presence.

     We are told seeing His Revealed Presence is the greatest blessing we can receive and that in the World to Come the souls of the righteous will sit with crowns on their heads and delight in the radiance of the Divine Presence!
