The Mystical Light of Chanukah

     Chanukah is the holiday of light. The central service of the Holiday is lighting an additional flame on the Chanukiah (Menorah) each of the eight nights of the Holiday.  

     The Baal Shem Tov pointed out that Or (light) in gematria (numerical values) is equal to Raz (secret). One of the most unique aspects of light is that we cannot see the light itself. We only see what the light shows us. The Holy One cannot be seen. All we can see is what He shows us.
