Dear friends around the world, In Asian cultures, especially Chinese Culture, getting married is considered a very essential part of life. Therefore marriage is very much encouraged. Nine out of ten families think very highly of marriage because having a family bloodline is considered as honouring the ancestors and bringing glory to the family. Before I ran away from home, my parents too expected me to get married and have a family eventually which is something I have never wanted.
