This Wildly-Flavored NYC Ice Creamery is Surviving the Pandemic by Going Cholov Yisrael

A New York ice cream parlor that is famous for its creativity has been kosher for decades, but not every kosher-keeper could enjoy it. With Jewish inspired flavors like lox, halva, haroset, herring, Ferrero Rocher babka and others stuffed with pizza, birthday cake and other sweets, Max and Mina’s was named by the Travel Channel as one of the “most famous ice cream paradises” in the U.S. With business down due to the pandemic, they started making cholov yisroel flavors (Jewish farmed dairy) so that Haredi Jews can also enjoy the treats.
