Arab German security guards besiege Israeli tourist stand in Berlin
A group of German security guards, who were assigned to protect the the world’s largest tourism trade fair in Berlin, harassed an Israeli booth on Thursday, screaming pro-Palestinian slogans that called for the destruction of the Jewish state. The three security guards at Internationale Tourismusboerse were of Arab origin, according to witness accounts… The men yelled “Free Palestine” and “Freedom for Palestine.”
US steel tariffs: Germany’s Merkel calls for EU exemption
German Chancellor Angela Merkel has called for the European Union to be exempted from new US tariffs on steel and aluminium imports. “The best option would be [for the EU] to be excluded,” she told business leaders gathered in Munich. Ms Merkel warned that no one could win a “race to the bottom” and said the tariffs risked “hurting everyone”.
Italy elections: Populists Salvini and Di Maio vow tax cuts
The leaders of the two largest parties to emerge from Sunday’s general election in Italy have talked up their economic plans in a bid to win support. Matteo Salvini of the anti-illegal migrant League promised to defy Brussels by cutting taxes and a top figure in the anti-establishment Five Star Movement also mooted tax cuts. President Sergio Mattarella has called for “a sense of responsibility”.
Saudi Arabia nears Typhoon jet deal with BAE
Saudi Arabia has moved closer to a deal to buy 48 Typhoon fighter jets, UK aerospace giant BAE Systems has said. A memorandum of intent on the deal was signed after Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman met Defence Secretary Gavin Williamson. BAE Systems said the signing was “a positive step towards agreeing a contract for our valued partner”.
Syria war: Jaish al-Islam to evacuate number of Eastern Ghouta fighters
Syrian rebel group Jaish al-Islam has agreed to evacuate jihadist fighters being held in its prisons in besieged Eastern Ghouta, a statement says. The group says the decision was made in consultation with a delegation that entered with a UN aid convoy. The Syrian government has stepped up efforts in retake the rebel-held enclave in recent weeks, leading to more than 900 reported civilian deaths.
Record Number of Americans Employed
The number of employed Americans has now broken eight records, most recently in February, since President Donald Trump took office. 155,215,000 Americans were employed in February, 785,000 more than last month’s record 154,430,000, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported on Friday. The number of employed Black Americans hit a record high of 19,087,000 last month, and a record 72,530,000 women 16 and older were counted as employed.
Armed Men Raid Iranian Embassy in London
Early reports said the raiders are four men who have opened their way into the embassy premises, while threatening people on the scene with machetes and baseball bats. The London Police have reportedly deployed around the embassy but took no action in the first couple of hours after the attack. The slogans chanted by the raiders indicate that they are members of Sadeq Shirazi Shiite extremist sect, supported by London.

Religious-Zionist rabbi Yehoshua Shapira called the LGBT culture “a spreading sickness” earlier this week, raising ire among LGBT groups and politicians.
