Luke 24 vs 49

And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

1. One of the secrets of overcoming night oppression is tarrying in prayer.
2. In the past few weeks, I have been busy with circular work and less time in prayer.
3. Over the same period, I have faced night oppression, which always goes away as I pray.
4. But a few days ago, I did something I had not done for a long time.
5. Somebody close to me was passing through an affliction, and I prayed in the spirit for six hours.
6. Coincidentally, since then, I have been having a sweet sleep. The demons that used to disturb my sleep before have run away.
7. So, it occurs to me that if I can pray like that, I will be having sweet sleep.
8. You may not be able to pray for six hours, but if you consistently pray before sleep, you will be free from afflictions in Jesus’ name.
