Luke 22 vs 44

And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

1. When Jesus was on the Mount of Olives, shortly before his crucifixion.
2. The Bible says he was in deep agony and highly depressed.
3. This is someone who knew his death date. He was like a prisoner waiting for his death.
4. Despite that, the Bible says Jesus Christ prayed more earnestly.
5. The time of affliction is not the time to withdraw from the altar of prayer.
6. The more you are afflicted, the more you should pray.
7. The more your prayer seems not to be answered, the more you should continue praying.
