Luke 19 vs 23

Wherefore then gavest not thou my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have required mine own with usury?

1. Jesus Christ uses the parable of the ten minas to emphasise the need for a good saving and investment culture.
2. In the parable, He gave one servant one pound to manage.
3. The servant has so many management options for the one pound.
4. HE could trade with the money and make interest on it.
5. He could save the money and collect some interest on it.
6. He could also lend to someone who is credit-worthy and still earn interest.
7. But the servant kept the money, and when the nobleman came, he returned his money.
8. In most economies, that money would have depreciated because of inflation.
9. The lesson here is that you must know how to multiply anything God has placed in your hands.
