Memorise: “I made a covenant with mine eyes; why then should I think upon a maid?” (Job 31:1)

Read: Romans 12:-1-2

When God remembers you, every satanic flood against you will dry up. Also, whatever is covering your glory will be lifted. When you are remembered, your loved ones will benefit from it. In addition, wombs open, helpers are released and conception takes place. This season, the Lord will remember you in Jesus’ Name. Another lesson from Exodus 2:23-25 is that God remembers the descendants of His covenant partners.

When the Israelites cried under the heavy yoke of the Egyptians, God heard, and He remembered His covenant with Abraham His partner. If Abraham had had no covenant with God, who knows, He might not have organized their rescue from slavery at that time. This tells us that the covenant you make with God today has a lot to do with the destiny of your descendants. When you make a covenant with God, faithfully stick with it until your death. Thereafter, that becomes a reference point in God’s dealings with your lineage. Do you have a covenant with God presently?

“I made a covenant with mine eyes; why then should I think upon a maid?” (Job 31:1). At a time Job was having problems with his eyes, it occurred to him to make a covenant with God concerning them. That was the end of the problem. Today’s reading says one way to subdue your flesh is by making a covenant with God concerning different parts of your body. If your eyes are always lusting, make a covenant with them not to lust again. If your hands have been stealing, covenant never to steal again.

If your legs take you to places of sin, make a covenant with God never to move those legs to any evil place. Besides you could enter into a covenant of praise, worship and thanksgiving with God. You could covenant to serve God for the rest of your life. You could enter into a covenant of sacrificial giving to God’s Kingdom (Ps 50:5). Abraham operated with God by covenant. David also was in covenant relationship with God. In 2 Samuel 24:18-25, when David needed a piece of land on which to atone the nation’s sins, Araunah offered him the land free of charge.

However, he refused because of the covenant he had with God. He said he could not offer anything to God that did not cost him anything. Are you one of God’s partners? God remembers His partners. Be one today.

Enter into a covenant of holiness with God, concerning that area in which you are still struggling with the flesh.
