A strong delusion meaning? In this post we are going to take a detailed look at strong delusion in the bible. This is going to be so detailed, you should never lack understanding of strong delusion after reading this post.

Apart from that, it goes into explanations of so many different misunderstood writings in the Bible. This one post should edify in so many different areas.

Now first of all, we have spoken about strong delusion to believe a lie in several of our previous posts, but it has taken us us a few years to actually focus totally on it in one article.

Now the wait has been worth it as fortunately, over time we have been given a much deeper understanding of strong delusion which I will share in this post.

Sadly though, this experience has made me realize that almost all believers are under a strong delusion believing we are on the way to the kingdom. you will soon see why.

THE NARROW WAY

The exception to this are those on the narrow way (that few find). It is imperative that we know that if we are on the narrow way, we will be free from the threat of being sent a strong delusion.

Unfortunately though, most are going through the wide gate that leads to destruction.

Mat 7:13  Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction (STRONG DELUSION), and many there be which go in thereat:

Mat 7:14  Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

The problem is though, how do we know we are on the narrow path?

THE WIDE GATE OR THE NARROW WAY, WHICH WAY ARE YOU HEADED?

STRONG DELUSION BIBLE VERSES

Hence we have to, we MUST find the narrow gate. In addition, we have to understand all there is to know about  this strong delusion so that we do not get caught in it.

Here are the strong delusion bible verses.

2Th 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

2Th 2:11 And for this cause Aluah shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

2Th 2:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

WHAT ABOUT THE LAWLESS ONE (THE MAN OF SIN)?

But before we reach to 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12 above, we must look at the preceding verses. This is because we cannot speak about strong delusion in the bible without speaking about the lawless one, also known as the man of sin who Christians call antichrist, but who is more properly called antimashiach or antimessiah.

2Th 2:3  Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

2Th 2:4  Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called Aluah, or that is worshipped; so that he as Aluah sitteth in the temple of Aluah, shewing himself that he is Aluah.

2Th 2:7  For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

2Th 2:8  And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Master shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

2Th 2:9  Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

It tells of a lawless one who will come with signs and lying wonders after the working of Satan. This is who is called the antichrist and is referred to in several other places. I will share two such accounts below.

Isa 14:12  How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
Isa 14:13  For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of Aluah: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
Isa 14:14  I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

But I have not found anywhere that tells us about this coming antimessiah as in the book, the Ascension of Isaiah, which you may download here from our website. Here is an excerpt.

The Ascension Of Isaiah Chapter4
4. This ruler in the form of that king will come and there will come with him all the powers of this world, and they will hearken unto him in all that he desires.

5. And at his word the sun will rise at night and he will make the moon to appear at the sixth hour.

6. And all that he hath desired he will do in the world: he will do and speak like the Beloved and he will say: “I am Aluah and before me there has been none.”

7. And all the people in the world will believe in him. (He deceives the whole world.

8. And they will sacrifice to him and they will serve him saying: “This is Aluah and beside him there is no
other.”
9. And they greater number of those who shall have been associated together in order to receive the Beloved, he will turn aside after him

10. And there will be the power of his miracles in every city and region.

See that? it clearly tells us about this end time ruler spoken of in 2 Thessalonians 2.

But now here is the error that most Christians are making: thinking that this strong delusion is reserved for the end times, just before this lawless one comes!

By the way, we are in the season of the antimessiah, since the mark of the beast has been given to the world.

That is why this teaching is so important, as it will show that it will not only happen when the antimessiah comes, but also show that strong delusion is continuous.

Let us not digress, but continue by looking at Isaiah 66:4 and see why he will send delusions:

Isa 66:4  I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.

Look carefully and you will see: “because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.”

So do you think he will reserve strong delusions ONLY to the end time?

No. As long as when he calls we do not answer, when he speaks we do not hear, when we do evil before his eyes, and when we choose that in which he does not delight. As long as we do that, we are in danger of him choosing our delusions.

Why? YAHUAH never changes.

Malachi 3:6  For I am YAHUAH, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

What’s more, there will come a time of falling away first.

2Th_2:3  Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

There will come a falling away first before the antimessiah comes.

Guess what?

We are in this time of falling away!

If we cannot see the appalling and declining (falling away) state of belief in this world with apostate Christianity in the lead, then we must be spiritually blind.

Hence strong delusion has been with us now and ever since there was a Beliar/Satan/prince of error.

We will look at this as we go.

Therefore this post is based on that foundation, that strong delusion is with us and is ongoing. It will not only be based on the time of this wicked, lawless one, man of sin, son of perdition, antichrist, antimessiah.

DELUSION VS STRONG DELUSION

So let’s begin by diving deeper into the strong delusion biblical meaning.

But before that, we have to state the clear difference between delusion and strong delusion.

2Th 2:11 And for this cause Aluah shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

So first, let us look at the meaning of delusion as used in the bible in the term “strong delusion.”

WHAT IS A DELUSION?

Delusion in the bible is a deception in which we are led into error to stray away from righteousness. Look below at the keywords from the meaning above and you will see:

  • Fraudulence
  • Straying from orthodoxy or piety
  • Deceit
  • To deceive
  • Delusion
  • Error

Now this deception can be upon us to varying degrees, and for many of us it is something we can recover from. Some may have varying false doctrines and false teachings and others may have an entire religion that is false.

Yes, fortunately, we can come out of this delusion if we repent and turn to a life of pure righteousness. We have to go all out, otherwise, we might come out of one delusion and still be left in another.

To come out of all delusions, we have to have a relentless desire for truth (2 Thess 2:10) and seek to prove all things, holding fast that which is good (1 Thess 5:21).

WHAT IS A STRONG DELUSION?

So now we understand delusion, we next look at what is a strong delusion?

Almost all of us are under a delusion. You must get the FULL understanding so you know whether or not you are under a delusion or a strong delusion, then you can come out to save your soul.

Yes, you may think you are already saved, but trust me, you have no idea how much we have been deceived by man’s religions!

STRONG DELUSION IN THE BIBLE

So that said, let us turn to what strong delusion means by looking at the meaning of strong as used in the verse:

2Th 2:11 And for this cause Aluah shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

Recall that we have already just looked at the meaning of delusion. Let us look at the meaning of the word”strong.”

It speaks of energy: a strong, active delusion/deception/lie that follows us everywhere. It is effectual working, which means it doesn’t fail to work to produce the deception!

So strong delusion is a deception brought on by the Most High as a result of our constant transgression/stubbornness/rebellion against him, in which we will be blinded so we can be damned or destroyed. It is essentially a strong spirit of delusion that blinds us thinking we are doing the will of the Most High AHAYAH.

RELIGION AND STRONG DELUSION

Regrettably, the most profound example of this strong delusion is in man’s religions. That is because almost all of us think we are on the right path because with religion there are many delusions.

But why?

Narrow is the way that leads to life and few there be that find it (Mat 7:14). Sadly also, add to that the fact that we are social beings. We flock to whatever is popular.

That is why there are approximately 2.2 billion Christians and 1.9 billion Muslims today. Wide is the gate that leads to destruction, and many there be that go in through that gate (Mat 7:13).

Remember, the world population is approximately 8 billion which means half of the world is either Christian or Muslim. Many are called, few are chosen. Half the population of the world is not few.

Almost certainly, you cannot tell the Muslims that they are wrong. Likewise you cannot tell the 40 odd thousand Christian denominations that they are on the wrong path!

Wait, Christians don’t get angry and leave. Prove all things, hold fast that which is good (1 Thess 5:21).

Sadly, you cannot tell the Hebrew Israelites that they are wrong (even though they are right in many things), neither can you tell most followers of the way like us that we are wrong.

All of us are in some kind of delusion, and we must accept this to come out of it, because we have to search for him with all our hearts to be able to find him.

Jer 29:13  And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

Our downfall is that most of us search for him in religion that tells us a few things to do and we are okay. That is where our error begins and we remain in a delusion, which may eventually cause us to be sent a STRONG delusion.

ONLY ONE NARROW WAY TO THE FATHER

However, we were told that there is only one way to the Father (John 14:6).

And weren’t we also told that the way is narrow and few will find it (Matt 7:13-14)?

Do you see then why you need to continue reading this post? This will let you know how you can figure out if you are in a delusion or worse, even a strong delusion.

Most importantly, we will let you know the sure ways we can avoid delusion or even come out of strong delusion before Aluah’s judgment is executed on us.

The point I am making, is that here is only one way to the Father, and most have missed it, because it is narrow. Many are called, few are chosen (Matt 22:14).

So some things in this post will refer to a delusion so those of us who hear can awaken and change, as well as some will refer to strong delusion so we know the danger signs and how to avoid it.

Also, there will be some hard truths shared, because it is the love of the truth that saves us. Speaking of hard truths? Be prepared for what is coming next.

THE STRONG DELUSION OF CHRISTIANITY

If I am not mistaken, I just said every Christian being under a strong delusion. This was me speaking from personal experience and observation over time.

Yes, I was in delusion in Pentecostal Christianity, but because of my desire for truth, I was able to come out of the deception. Searching for the truth until I found the way (John 14:6).

Act 24:14  But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the Aluah of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets:
Act 24:15  And have hope toward Aluah, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.

Now I continue to seek truth so as to remove all the blindness that was placed upon us as a people when we went into captivity.

Captivity?

To fully understand strong delusion and almost every other major bible teaching, you must understand who the true children of Israel are today.

DEUTERONOMY 28: BLESSINGS AND CURSES BREAKDOWN

For those who understand, false religion that was our curse, the curse of the children of Israel in slavery:

Deu 28:64  And YAHUAH shall scatter thee among all people, from the one end of the earth even unto the other; and there thou shalt serve other gods, which neither thou nor thy fathers have known, even wood and stone.

Hence any religion our people were given when we were scattered in slavery is our curse.

Guess what?

The religion our people was given was Christianity!

This is our curse, and to remain in it is our strong delusion. Let me explain.

You see, when we know who the children of Israel are, the whole Bible becomes so much easier to understand. We Israelites were made to be in blindness for transgressing against our Father:

Isa 1:2  Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for YAHUAH hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me.
Isa 1:3  The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master’s crib: but Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider.

And for transgressing against him, he took away our heritage from us.

Jer_17:4  And thou, even thyself, shalt discontinue from thine heritage that I gave thee; and I will cause thee to serve thine enemies in the land which thou knowest not: for ye have kindled a fire in mine anger, which shall burn for ever.

Now what is that heritage?

Jer_2:7  And I brought you into a plentiful country, to eat the fruit thereof and the goodness thereof; but when ye entered, ye defiled my land, and made mine heritage an abomination.

His heritage is his land.

When we were taken off the land, we were sent under the curses to another land to worship false gods.

Deu 28:36  YAHUAH shall bring thee, and thy king which thou shalt set over thee, unto a nation (STRANGE LAND) which neither thou nor thy fathers have known; and there shalt thou serve other gods, wood and stone (FALSE GODS/RELIGIONS).

But when the time of the Gentiles is at its fullness, then we will awaken!

Rom 11:25  For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

WHAT ARE THE FIRST 4 SEALS OF REVELATION 6?

So as their time is coming to an end, we turn back to him, as he promised to gather us back again in the land.

Jer_30:3  For, lo, the days come, saith YAHUAH, that I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, saith YAHUAH: and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.

Now if you do not understand this, then it means you are under a strong delusion. Indeed, if you believe that our Father has forgotten his people and have now chosen Christians instead?

You have been caught up in the wine of Babylon.

Jer 51:7  Babylon hath been a golden cup in YAHUAH’S hand, that made all the earth drunken: the nations have drunken of her wine; therefore the nations are mad.

Why do I say that? Because our Father swore we will never stop from being a nation before him! Look…

Jer 31:35  Thus saith YAHUAH, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; YAHUAH of hosts is his name:

Jer 31:36  If those ordinances depart from before me, saith YAHUAH, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever.

Jer 31:37  Thus saith YAHUAH; If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith YAHUAH.

The truth is, Christianity is replacement theology from the nation of Edom: to replace the true children of Israel and make Edomites the chosen. You may not understand what I am saying unless you find out who are the Edomites today.

STRONG DELUSION SCRIPTURE: 2 THESSALONIANS 2:10-12

At this time, let us take a look at the important parts of the 3 verses above from 2 Thessalonians 2:

2Th 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

2Th 2:11 And for this cause Aluah shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

2Th 2:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

First off, here are the most important points in the verses.

Hence we will look at these 4 variables on the right in the graphic above to see what they really mean for us. So next, let us look at the meaning of the term deceivableness of unrighteousness.

STRONG DELUSION EXPLAINED: DECEIVABLENESS OF UNRIGHTEOUSNESS

Deceivableness of unrighteousness? This literally means that unrighteousness will deceive us into thinking it is righteousness!

Imagine this horror of a thought, that we will be doing unrighteousness and not knowing it is bringing us to our damnation!

So we have to figure out what is unrighteousness according to the Bible. This now will let us know that all Christians (including the Seventh Day Adventists who say they keep the 10 commandments) are in a delusion.

Look, let’s easily prove it…

1Jn 5:17  All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.

All unrighteousness is sin, but we then have to figure out what is sin!

1Jn 3:4  Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

Sin is transgression of the law!!!

So anyone who breaks the law sins.

Books of the Natsarim Chapter 7
7 While eating, Yahusha said, “No man of himself can know right from
wrong. For what is right in one man’s eyes may be wrong in another’s, therefore strife arises among them. Only when men accept a single standard of judgment and abide by it can there be peace. When men live together without the light of the Torah, they are like a house built with unmortared bricks, or like men trying to tow a boat but all pulling in
different directions.

8 “There are two laws the law of men and the Torah of the Father who is in Heaven. When I speak of the Torah, I do not mean the law of men. I am the Light illuminating Yahuah’s Torah so men see it more clearly, and though I fulfill the Torah, I do not change it. Never say ‘this is right’ or ‘that is wrong,’ but only ‘this is right or wrong according to the Torah, and in the Light of Yahusha.’”

Anyone therefore, who says the law is done away with and ignores the law, must sin, as he will not know what is right or what is wrong. Why? The law shows us what sin is:

Rom_3:20  Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

Rom_7:7  What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.

So disobeying the law, we sin and are in unrighteousness.

But that is not where sin stops. There is something else that is sin:

Rom_14:23  And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

Whatsoever is not of faith is sin. But where does faith come in?

Heb 11:6  But without emunah (faith) it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to Aluah must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

It is impossible to please our Father without faith. But what faith is important to him?

Eph 2:7  That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through HaMashiach Yahusha.
Eph 2:8  For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of Aluah:

The faith that is important to the Father is our belief in his son Yahusha HaMashiach. It follows that we must follow his son to avoid being in strong delusion.

Let’s get proof…

Joh_17:3  And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true Aluah, and Yahusha HaMashiach, whom thou hast sent.

Joh_20:31  But these are written, that ye might believe that Yahusha is HaMashiach, the Son of Aluah; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

Rom_3:22  Even the righteousness of Aluah which is by faith of Yahusha HaMashiach unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

That is what Yahusha means in Books Of The Natsarim 7:8 above when he says:

“Never say ‘this is right’ or ‘that is wrong,’ but only ‘this is right or wrong according to the Torah, and in the Light of Yahusha.”

So right away we see that if we are not following his son, nor obeying his Torah (law), then we will be left exposed to be deceived into thinking our unrighteousness is actually righteousness.

DECEIVABLENESS OF UNRIGHTEOUSNESS & DECEITFULNESS OF SIN

To expound more on strong delusion meaning, we have to look at one of the main causes of us getting a strong delusion.

So we go back to 2 Thessalonians, where Sha’ul (Paul) tells us about the deceivableness of unrighteousness. But in Hebrews 3:13, it tells us about the deceitfulness of sin.what’s the difference?

We see in the table below they are one and the same. It is just another way of saying the same thing.

Now in Hebrews 3:13, it tells us what happens to us when we are in the deceivableness of unrighteousness (deceitfulness of sin).

Heb 3:13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

See that?!

We are HARDENED by this deception/deceit!

Now what does hardened mean as used there?

From G4642; to indurate, that is, (figuratively) render stubborn: – harden.

So to be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin (deceivableness of unrighteousness) means to be made stubborn through deception (thinking our unrighteousness is righteousness).

That word stubborn is going to play a big role going forward. Stay with us for more wisdom, knowledge and understanding of strong delusion.

THE REAL DANGER OF THIS HARDNESS/STUBBORNNESS?

Straightaway, if we take it a step further by going to Romans 2, we will see that the stubbornness that comes from the deceitfulness of sin (deceivableness of unrighteousness) unfortunately results in our damnation!

Romans 2
[4]Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of Aluah leadeth thee to repentance?

[5]But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of Aluah;

See what our hardness and impenitent (unrepentant) heart does? It is storing up wrath for us. Yet again, if we look at the meaning of the word “hardness” as used here, we see it means the same thing: stubbornness.

So now it is getting interesting; let’s continue in Romans 2:

[6]Who will render to every man according to his deeds:

[7]To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:

[8]But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,

[9]Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;

[10]But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:

[11]For there is no respect of persons with Aluah.

So those who are stubborn, who obey unrighteousness, will incur indignation and wrath, tribulation and anguish! Do you want to be caught up in that?

I told you, you need to fully understand strong delusion!

HOW STUBBORNNESS PREVENTS US FROM BEING THE END TIME SONS OF OF ALUAH

If that is not enough, let us look at it from another angle. Let’s see how stubbornness prevents us from our ultimate life’s goal, which is to be the sons of Aluah.

Now this here below is the goal of all of us reading this post: to be the sons of Aluah.

1Jn_3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of Aluah, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

Joh 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of Aluah, even to them that believe on his name:

Joh 1:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of Aluah.

Rom 8:12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.

Rom 8:13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

Rom 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of Aluah, they are the sons of Aluah.

IF WE ARE STUBBORN AND REBELLIOUS, WE CANNOT BE HIS SONS!

So we read those verses and say yes, we are the sons of Aluah.

But look here…not so fast!

Look what we have in Deuteronomy 21.

If a man has a stubborn and rebellious son that will not change, that son is to be killed!

That is Torah, so for us, it is the same thing spiritually if we are found to be stubborn and rebellious.

Deu 21:18 If a man have a stubborn and rebellious son, which will not obey the voice of his father, or the voice of his mother, and that, when they have chastened him, will not hearken unto them:

Deu 21:19 Then shall his father and his mother lay hold on him, and bring him out unto the elders of his city, and unto the gate of his place;

Deu 21:20 And they shall say unto the elders of his city, This our son is stubborn and rebellious, he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton, and a drunkard.
Deu 21:21 And all the men of his city shall stone him with stones, that he die: so shalt thou put evil away from among you; and all Israel shall hear, and fear.

So if we as humans have a stubborn and rebellious son that refuses to change and have to give them up to die, how will the Most High allow us who are stubborn and rebellious to enter his kingdom?

For more clarity, let us look at the meaning of “rebellious” as used in Deuteronomy 21:18.

A primitive root; to turn away, that is, (morally) be refractory: – X away, backsliding, rebellious, revolter (-ing), slide back, stubborn, withdrew.
Total KJV occurrences: 17

An unusual word stands out in that explanation, and that is “refractory.”

Meaning Of Refractory:
stubborn or unmanageable
resistant to a process or stimulus.

See that? Everything goes back to stubbornness! This is very significant as we encounter it almost everyday, people not willing to hear the word, people willing to stay in ignorance not having love for the truth.

People seeking to stay comfortable in their religion. Those too, who are too proud and self-righteous to be corrected?

They are stubborn and rebellious.

Significantly then, we MUST prove all things, hold fast that which is good (1 Thess 5:21)!

THE DANGER OF STUBBORNNESS AND REBELLION (THE ACCOUNT OF SAUL)

Now let us get the manifestation of this rejection of the stubborn and rebellious through the account of Sha’ul (Saul). Let’s begin with the most memorable statement made by Shamu’al (Samuel).

1Sa 15:22 And Samuel said, Hath YAHUAH as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of YAHUAH? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.

1Sa 15:23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of YAHUAH, he hath also rejected thee from being king.

Again, we have to highlight the word “rebellion.”

A very significant word there is the word “bitter” which appears three times in the meaning of rebellion above:

  1. bitterness
  2. concretely bitter
  3. bitter

But what is the significance of this?

Significantly, it implies that Sha’ul was bitter toward the Most High for not allowing him access to the spoils!

Hence sadly, he could or better yet, WOULD NOT obey Aluah’s instructions.

What is that saying for us today? We have to ensure that no form of bitterness (rebellion) springs up among us.

Heb 12:15  Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of Aluah; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;

You see, any root of bitterness defiles many!

Why?

Bitterness is led, not by Ruach HaQadosh (the Holy Spirit), but by the angel of wickedness also known as the angel of iniquity, also known as the prince of error or Beliar, aka Satan. I will now explain.

THE ANGEL OF WICKEDNESS/INIQUITY

Have you ever wondered why in making any decision that could lead you to sin, you have two “voices” speaking to you. To better express this, have you ever been angry and one voice is telling you to satisfy your anger by doing this or that, while another is telling you not to do it because of the consequences that may result?

We all need to know that these “voices” are the two angels that are with man:

  1. The angel of righteousness and
  2. The angel of wickedness/iniquity

Now lest you think I am making this up, let’s hear it from the Shepherd of Hermas, a book you may download here for free from this our website.

Shepherd of Hermas page 38, chapter 36

1 “Now hear,” he said, “about faith. There are two angels with a person, one of righteousness and one of wickedness.”

2 “So how, sir,” I said, “will I recognize their workings, given that both angels live with me?”

3 “Listen,” he said, “and you will understand them. The angel of righteousness is sensitive and modest and gentle and tranquil. When this one enters your heart, immediately he talks with you about righteousness, about purity, about holiness, about contentment, about every righteous deed, and about every glorious virtue. Whenever all these things enter your heart, you know that the angel of righteousness is with you. These, then, are the works of the angel of righteousness. So trust him and his works.

4 Now observe the works of the angel of wickedness. First of all, he is ill-tempered and bitter and senseless, and his works are evil, tearing down Aluah’s servants. So whenever this one enters your heart, recognize him by his works.”

5 “But I do not know, sir,” I said, “how to recognize him.” “Listen,” he said. “When some angry temperamental
outburst or bitterness comes over you, recognize that he is in you.

Then comes the desire for much business, and extravagant kinds of food and drink, and much drunkenness, and various kinds of unnecessary luxuries, and the desire for women, and greed and arrogance and pretentiousness, and whatever else resembles or is similar to these things. So whenever these things enter your heart, you know that the angel of wickedness is with you.

6 Recognizing, therefore, his works, shun him and do not trust him at all, because his works are evil and harmful to Aluah’’s servants. You now have, then, the working of both angels; understand them and trust the angel of righteousness.

7 But shun the angel of wickedness, because his teaching is evil in every respect. For if there should be an extremely faithful man, and the thought of that angel should enter his heart, that man—or woman—must inevitably commit some sin.

8 On the other hand, if there should be an extremely sinful man or woman, and the works of the angel of righteousness should enter his or her heart, of necessity that person must do something good.

9 You see, then,” he said, “that it is good to follow the angel of righteousness but shun the angel of wickedness.

10 This commandment explains the things about faith, in order that you may trust the works of the angel of righteousness, and that doing them, you may live to Aluah. But believe that the works of the angel of wickedness are dangerous, so that by not doing them you will live to Aluah.”

So what we are saying is that King Sha’ul (Saul) had allowed the angel of wickedness/iniquity to lead him.

Now for us? Think about how many times that voice has led us to sin?

But now we know about this, let’s see what the consequences can be.

YAHUAH REJECTS SHA’UL (SAUL)

Let’s look into the full story of King Sha’ul’s rejection. It is best to watch the short video below. It contains comments and important incites that cannot be covered in this article.

But here is the biblical excerpt from 1 Samuel 15 below. This is the KJV, but with the names restored.

1Sa 15:1 Shamu’al also said unto Sha’ul, YAHUAH sent me to anoint thee to be king over his people, over Yashar’al: now therefore hearken thou unto the voice of the words of YAHUAH.
1Sa 15:2 Thus saith YAHUAH of hosts, I remember that which Amalek did to Yashar’al, how he laid wait for him in the way, when he came up from Egypt.

1Sa 15:3 Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass.
1Sa 15:4 And Sha’ul gathered the people together, and numbered them in Telaim, two hundred thousand footmen, and ten thousand men of Yahudah.

1Sa 15:5 And Sha’ul came to a city of Amalek, and laid wait in the valley.
1Sa 15:6 And Sha’ul said unto the Kenites, Go, depart, get you down from among the Amalekites, lest I destroy you with them: for ye shewed kindness to all the children of Yashar’al, when they came up out of Egypt. So the Kenites departed from among the Amalekites.

1Sa 15:7 And Sha’ul smote the Amalekites from Havilah until thou comest to Shur, that is over against Egypt.
1Sa 15:8 And he took Agag the king of the Amalekites alive, and utterly destroyed all the people with the edge of the sword.

1Sa 15:9 But Sha’ul and the people spared Agag, and the best of the sheep, and of the oxen, and of the fatlings, and the lambs, and all that was good, and would not utterly destroy them: but every thing that was vile and refuse, that they destroyed utterly.

1Sa 15:11 It repenteth me that I have set up Sha’ul to be king: for he is turned back from following me, and hath not performed my commandments. And it grieved Shamu’al; and he cried unto YAHUAH all night.

1Sa 15:12 And when Shamu’al rose early to meet Sha’ul in the morning, it was told Shamu’al, saying, Sha’ul came to Carmel, and, behold, he set him up a place, and is gone about, and passed on, and gone down to Gilgal.
1Sa 15:13 And Shamu’al came to Sha’ul: and Sha’ul said unto him, Blessed be thou of YAHUAH: I have performed the commandment of YAHUAH.

1Sa 15:14 And Shamu’al said, What meaneth then this bleating of the sheep in mine ears, and the lowing of the oxen which I hear?
1Sa 15:15 And Sha’ul said, They have brought them from the Amalekites: for the people spared the best of the sheep and of the oxen, to sacrifice unto YAHUAH thy Aluah; and the rest we have utterly destroyed.

1Sa 15:16 Then Shamu’al said unto Sha’ul, Stay, and I will tell thee what YAHUAH hath said to me this night. And he said unto him, Say on.

1Sa 15:19 Wherefore then didst thou not obey the voice of YAHUAH, but didst fly upon the spoil, and didst evil in the sight of YAHUAH?

1Sa 15:20 And Sha’ul said unto Shamu’al, Yea, I have obeyed the voice of YAHUAH, and have gone the way which YAHUAH sent me, and have brought Agag the king of Amalek, and have utterly destroyed the Amalekites.
1Sa 15:21 But the people took of the spoil, sheep and oxen, the chief of the things which should have been utterly destroyed, to sacrifice unto YAHUAH thy Aluah in Gilgal.

1Sa 15:27 And as Shamu’al turned about to go away, he laid hold upon the skirt of his mantle, and it rent.
1Sa 15:28 And Shamu’al said unto him, YAHUAH hath rent the kingdom of Yashar’al from thee this day,
